The pizza is fabulous. Little squares of thin, crispy, hot, gooey goodness! We had teh 4 meat pizza and loved it. We also learned that there is a Sammy's in Minot, ND andwe will definitely check it out when we are out west this month. Our waitress was pleasant, the garlic bread crisp but not nearly garlic-y enough for us.... More

Sammy's Pizza on 1st was exactly what my mom and I were looking for on our recent trip to Duluth: a comfortable, low-key, local joint with real handmade, fresh, non-chain-like pizza. Yes, Sammy's DOES have multiple locations, but the pizza isn't cookie cutter. Arrived around 5:30 midweek and sat right down. The thin, crunchy crust and the sauce were flavorful,... More

Seriously love this pizza so much - it's always a highlight when we go to Duluth! Crust is thin, wood fired style. Pizzas are generous but a bit pricey! Worth it though

We stopped in during a recent family stay. We tend to look for the "off the beaten path" places and settled here. The pizza crust was great as was the quality of pizza. The place was fairly quite and we were able to get a seat for 7 immediately. The service we received was great as well. If you're in... More

Forgotten how good they were since I had not accompanied my husband on his annual golf trip for over 8 years. The "pies" are absolutely delicious! Crust is so good and crispy! Sauce special family recipe that's very robust. Hate to admit my husband is right. Best pizza I've ever had too!

This place has a reputation for serving the "best pizza in Duluth," so during our stay at a local waterpark, we headed here for dinner. The kiddos wanted to get room service from Tiki Tom's pizza at the hotel, but I made everyone get in the car and go to Sammy's instead. Big mistake. We would have been better off... More

For years we've been coming to Duluth and we always make a stop at Sammy's. Our large fully loaded pizza was so good it was difficult to stop eating even though we were full. It's too bad it wasn't in a better location.

After reading other reviews I decided we should try Sammy's Pizza when we visited Duluth. We had been to Duluth many times, but had never eaten there. It was some of the best thin crust pizza I've had. It was very quiet on a Sunday night. The waitress was very nice and service was great. It's not fancy, but it's... More

We've been eating Sammy's Pizza since high school and we graduated over 50 years ago! It still tastes the same! Back in high school, we would pool our money and get a large pizza for $1.25. So nice that it hasn't changed in all those years. Fun to go back and re-visit our teenage years and have our favorite pizza.
