Description: The Pickwick is Duluth's landmark restaurant situated on the shore of Lake Superior. Best known for its steaks and seafood from the only indoor charcoal grill in the area. There are also great burgers and sandwiches for under $12. The banquet room accommodates up to 50 people and offers privacy for business or family occasions. The bar has been restored to its 1940 layout offering an energetic atmosphere for all ages. Two happy hours - before dinner and late night - keep the bar hopping from 4am until close. The dining rooms bring back the history of the Pickwick which has been operating since 1914. Fine dining is at its best with our excellent serving staff along with the creations of Chef Jake Sutula. Reservations are accepted. Come see why the Pickwick has been Duluth's place to be for nearly a century!

This is one of the top restaurants in Duluth. The food and service are excellent. You do pay for it, however, you get what you pay for as well. A top special night out restaurant.

The Pickwick's atmosphere is great. They appear to take the time to separate diners with small children from couples enjoying "date night." The service is excellent. This time, we both ordered prime rib, with gouda garlic mashed potatoes and salads. The meals were fantastic. The prime rib was excellent. The gouda garlic mashed potatoes are a great choice. The views... More

Arrived there for supper with my husband to enjoy our anniversary vacation. Service was okay, nothing over the top for friendly. Ordered the top sirloin as one meal and the other meal was a Roasted Pear Salmon Salad. The pears on the salad were canned pear halves sliced in a "fan" fashion. Not cool when the salad was $16. I... My husband and I were ready for a quieter meal after spending all day in crowds. Pickwick was just that. We sat by windows and enjoyed the view as the wind shifted direction. We ate three appetizers. Steak bits were perfectly prepared, although I did not love the sauce. Thankfully it was not a strong flavor. My husband had a... More

After having enjoyed many of the finest meals I have eaten anywhere, the Pickwick has always been my choice of restaurants for special occasions. Not anymore, we went there for my grandsons graduation and found the Pickwick of old is no more. Reduced menu below average portions and uninspiring food. The service was very good and the atmosphere is excellent... More

I had the pleasure of dining at Pickwick's recently. The Walleye fingers were tasty and the Lake Superior Trout was fantastic. Love the old, Germanic style of the restaurant with all of the steins behind the bar in the pub. Very nice and courteous staff on hand. A must eat in Duluth.

An unexpected trip back to the city I lived in for 30 years found me back at the Pickwick for dinner one evening. Yes, things have changed a bit-the menu being one of those things, but some of the favorites are still there. My son ordered sautéed shrimp and I ordered a walleye sandwich. Both were tasty and well prepared.... More

I try a place at least twice before posting a negative review, as of Thursdays dinner with four others, I would be hard pressed to return. When spending $300 on dinner I expect much better. The appetizers were good, calamari tender and tasty, shrimp cocktail ok, tenderloin bits charred and lacked seasoning. It all went down hill from there. I... More

Had lunch there today I use to love this place back in the "old days" 70's/ 80's. I had a strawberry margarita >> not the best rum any more. Had a Pub Burger for $10 @ 1/3# At least it was fresh meat & cooked correctly but really lacked flavor. And the onion rings? don't bother (but then seems no... More

Had lunch here to celebrate my sons' birthday. We sat in a booth in the pub - which was equipped with our own TV to watch NCAA hoops. The view overlooking the frozen lake looked pretty phenomenal. The food was solid. We had stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer which were a nice start. For entrees, my son had Pepper Cheeseburger... More
