Description: Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively adventure...
Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively adventure to the past where value and customer service are at the center of everything we do. You’re surrounded by authentic antiques, collectibles, and an eager staff ready and willing to please. The award winning food includes overstuffed sandwiches and burgers; USDA choice steaks; house specialty pasta and wild rice dishes; appetizers include nationally recognized homemade onion rings, chicken wings, and stuffed mushrooms. It’s an eyeful as well as a mouthful. The legacy of customer satisfaction has been handed down by the Italian immigrant who started it all, “Grandma” Rosa Brochi. Everything she did in her early boarding house business included “100% customer satisfaction,” words that we still live by today. Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is real history, real antiques, real service, and really good food! A dining experience of legendary indulgence. The original Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is located at the foot of the historic Aerial Lift Bridge, at the tip of Lake Superior. Seasonal deck dining and the new rooftop lounge includes this spectacular view.

First time at the restaurant. Sat upstairs so that we could have a view of the lake and bridge. Great to sit there when the weather permits. There is a limited menu upstairs but great for a snack. The boneless chicken wings are a must. They are delicious. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Also plenty of free parking.

Very crowded, but fun atmosphere. Food was surprisingly tasty, and drinks are good. Enjoyed the Prairie Mary and shrimp.

The chicken tetrazzini over wild rice was excellent! Very tasty and large serving. The Wild Rice Meatloaf was also a winner with my dining companions.

This is a good solid place to eat. The food is always good and they have a nice variety on the menu, Burgers, pasta, salads, steak and sandwiches. We were there a little later in the afternoon, about 1:30 on a Summer Monday afternoon and we still had to wait a little bit for a table. This place is always... More

Great casual deck seating for a nightcap, watching the ore boats come in and the kjingle of the lift bridge warning in the background makes for more than a scenic peek at Canal park in Duluth. We had Hendrick's Gin tonic's, with mulled cucmber and the best service too.

When we arrived the hostess was nice and it went downhill from there. While being escorted to our table we asked to be moved to a different location due to all the teenagers/noise level she said no it was too busy. When the waitress came over I asked her to tell table of girls to be a little more quiet... More

Always on our trip list and always a stop for the wild rice walleye cakes -- Grandma's answer to crabcakes. And grandkids always order Grandma's spaghetti with breadsticks. Great atmosphere; so much to keep kids occupied until food is served. Perfect location for a walk from Canal Park hotels. Wait staff attentive keeping our grandkids' beverages filled.

We waited 20 minutes to be seated, the place was pretty busy. We got seated by the bar area and a waiter promptly greeted us. I ordered two sodas and a water but the waiter brought back 2 waters and one soda. I mentioned he missed one soda and he apologized and brought another one back - no problem there.... More
