Description: Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively...
Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively adventure to the past where value and customer service are at the center of everything we do. You’re surrounded by authentic antiques, collectibles, and an eager staff ready and willing to please. The award winning food includes overstuffed sandwiches and burgers; USDA choice steaks; house specialty pasta and wild rice dishes; appetizers include nationally recognized homemade onion rings, chicken wings, and stuffed mushrooms. It’s an eyeful as well as a mouthful. The legacy of customer satisfaction has been handed down by the Italian immigrant who started it all, “Grandma” Rosa Brochi. Everything she did in her early boarding house business included “100% customer satisfaction,” words that we still live by today. Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is real history, real antiques, real service, and really good food! A dining experience of legendary indulgence. The original Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is located at the foot of the historic Aerial Lift Bridge, at the tip of Lake Superior. Seasonal deck dining and the new rooftop lounge includes this spectacular view.

Good appetizers

We stopped in here for appetizers and wine on a recent visit. Restaurant is very lively and a little louder than most but it was tolerable because everyone was having fun. The onion rings were huge and oh so delicious. Wings were juicy and big. We ate a late dinner due to the large amount food... read more

Ate here as a couple around 2PM on a Tuesday. The place had a lot of antiques on the walls and displays. Nice view of the lake when you come in. If you are going here just to check out the display just have one drink then walk around off peak times. We ordered the small portion sized meals because... More

I had the Canadian walleye sandwich. Only thing edible were the fries. walleye was very overcooked and so tough it was impossible to eat most of it.

We stopped by Grandma's for lunch on a winter weekend. While they had loads of empty tables, we were told the wait would be at least 45 minutes, and they suggested we eat in the bar. I'm not sure why, since there were at least 10 open tables we could see, but we went with it as we were hungry.... More

We have been going to Grandma's since it first open....that certainly puts a spin on our age. That said....Grandma's was the first hot spot to open in Duluth's famous Canal Park. And it is still going strong. I suggest the Tricycle burger. The fries are to die for. Salads are good too.

I was just here with couples for lunch. The service was great. The building was fun to look at, but the food was not very tasty. We all ordered different things. My sister had the Wild rice soup and said it wasn't that great. I had the French Onion and did not like the taste. I also ordered Rings and... More

We were here for supper. Our server was attentive and the food was average. I'm giving this a poor rating due to the following experience. The worse part of dining here were the gnats or fruit flies that flying around our food and drinks. It was very disgusting! The same thing happen in June when I was here. This time... More

I liked Grandma's. I had a wild rice chicken salad that was nothing like I expected. It was delicious and one I'll try to make at home. Everyone at our table of five enjoyed their meals with no complaints. Service was good although a little slow but we would go back again on another trip to Duluth. Can accommodate big... More

It has been years since I have eaten at this restaurant because it has been years since I have been in Duluth. We were celebrating my niece's graduation so there were quite a few of us to serve. I forgot how good the food is. I started with the sesame green beans and then ordered the chicken tetrazinni. I couldn't... More

We went to Grandmas for lunch while staying nearby. Our group had a variety of items which were all good. My wife especially enjoyed the wild rice soup. Service was prompt. All of the items of decoration really helped to keep our 1 year old grandson occupied.
