The food was mostly fine, although my daughter thought the syrup on her French toast tasted weird. (She's used to maple. It was described as "maple caramel" and I'm not sure what they did, exactly, but it did taste sort of weird.) The most frustrating thing was the service; the waitress didn't refill my coffee until specifically asked to (it... More

We have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it the glutes-free selections. However, these seem to have disappeared off the menu...a new ownership, perhaps?

First time in Duluth, Read all the reviews, and was not that impressed! Service was good until I was ready to cash out, water and beer empty, credit card out in sight, and no wait staff! Waited a good 15 minutes! Food was average, soup of the day - chicken veggie - bland. Had the "Spradian " pizza, okay ,... More

We just came from dinner there, and I have to say this place is worthy of a long detour. Their foods are locally sourced as best they can do, but even better, everything we had was delicious. DH and I weren't up for a big entrée, so split a bunch of dishes - grass-fed beef tartare, Ceviche, onion soup, and... More

The food was excellent and the service very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is more of bistro style and has outdoor seating.

Stopped in at Lake Avenue Cafe Labor Day night late. The place was dead. They were out of a couple of types of wine and some food, but the waitress was very helpful and attentive to suggest alternates that were very good. My wife had a salad with home made dressing and I had the Pike Chowder, both were excellent.... More

We had a great dinner there and could not have been more pleased. The service was laid back and friendly. It is a nice environment in the heart of the tourist area, very easy to walk to from most hotels.

Down in the tourista part of Duluth, this place is upstairs and easy to miss - Don't. Wifey had the sauted whitefish - fantastic. I had the fried perch tacos - scrumptious. The service was very fast and attentive. The price was very reasonable. When we travel, we try to find local places to get a taste of local cuisine.... More

We read the reviews and were not disappointed. I had bacon wrapped dates (I know it sounds funky) they were delicious...my husband had the crap cakes and they were equally good. We would highly recommend.

Slow service. The salads came before drinks and appetizers. Our observation was that they were understaffed
