Description: Everything from our award winning breads to our crisp golden hash browns...
Everything from our award winning breads to our crisp golden hash browns are made from scratch daily. Whether it's muffins for your morning meeting or a cake for your wedding, the Amazing Grace Bakery and Cafe is gladly here to serve you. We have always seen the need for locally conscious and globally friendly businesses. That's why we also specialize in local eggs from Promised Land Farms, local honey from the Bar Bell Bee Ranch, fresh local beer from the Bent Paddle Brewing Company, beans from local roasters Alakef, local syrup from Simple Gifts, all of our to go containers and utensils are compostable, and we also compost all of our food and coffee waste. This bakery that added a coffee shop that started making sandwiches that started making breakfast all in the same spot has been locally owned and operated since its inception, 1995. Built on one iconic saying from our late founder, "be kind, be brave, don't eat bad bread", the Amazing Grace has held true to those ideals for nearly two decades and will for many more to come.

Great spot to meet friends

This is a great, somewhat hidden spot for a quick bite or a great cup of coffee. As a confirmed coffee snob I can attest to the fact that they have a good dark roast here. The sandwiches are great as well, although the bread is sliced much too thickly for me. I shouldn't complain about getting... read more

We visit many coffee shops in the Cities, and were told of Amazing Grace by a friend. Coffee and pastries were Recommended. We weren't in need of Sugar, so we had some tasty 3 cheese bread, butter and coffee. Each table has spiral notebooks that patrons have either sketched in or noted some profound statements :) Musicians were practicing quietly... More

Here is a great spot to find alternatives to the same old sandwiches. Great choices of artisan bread, vegertarian choices, soups change daily and our great. We love the "coffee house" atmosphere, located in a basement. Have not been there for music. Good pastries too. A good value plus being healthy

Amazing Grace is a cozy cafe with a charming atmosphere and wonderful food. Their sandwiches are made to order and everything is so fresh and full of flavor. They have a great variety of bread and the best soup in town.

Very good food and funky vibe! Loved the smoked salmon omlette. We had no wait to get in but it was a Monday morning. Weekends might be harder to get a table. Great location too.

My husband and I have breakfasted here several times, mostly because it is convenient to the hotel we frequent. We have always had table service so I have no experience with their deli counter. Our experience being at a table is in line with other reviewers. Service has always been slow. One time we were wondering if they were waiting... More

Went here twice over a weekend. Once to grab a muffin, cookie and coffee from the counter. Terrific baked goods! The muffin tops have a wonderful crunch and the cookies are full of goodies. The guy working the register and filling our order was friendly and personable. Second time was for breakfast a little after they opened at 7am. The... More

Very crowded and kind of awkward but the food was tasty. Homemade sandwiches on homemade bread. The pastrami was very good.

This sis a very family friendly and food friendly local restaurant. The sandwiches are stacked high. The coffee is fresh and bold. The lattes are great. The muffins are big enough for two to share. On top of that the bakery has fresh loaves of bread to take with you and enjoy later. The outdoor seating is a pleasant plus.

The Amazing Grace bakery and cafe was a wonderful stop which we found while strolling around the Canal Park area. I love chai, so when I saw the sign for their special house chai, I knew I had to stop. Loved the interior - a cozy coffeehouse/cafe that almost felt like you were crashing at your best friend's house. We... More
