Description: Everything from our award winning breads to our crisp golden hash browns...
Everything from our award winning breads to our crisp golden hash browns are made from scratch daily. Whether it's muffins for your morning meeting or a cake for your wedding, the Amazing Grace Bakery and Cafe is gladly here to serve you. We have always seen the need for locally conscious and globally friendly businesses. That's why we also specialize in local eggs from Promised Land Farms, local honey from the Bar Bell Bee Ranch, fresh local beer from the Bent Paddle Brewing Company, beans from local roasters Alakef, local syrup from Simple Gifts, all of our to go containers and utensils are compostable, and we also compost all of our food and coffee waste. This bakery that added a coffee shop that started making sandwiches that started making breakfast all in the same spot has been locally owned and operated since its inception, 1995. Built on one iconic saying from our late founder, "be kind, be brave, don't eat bad bread", the Amazing Grace has held true to those ideals for nearly two decades and will for many more to come.

First stop of the day

We arrive in Canal Park early in the day and decided to get a coffee and a quick bite to eat, so we went to Amazing Grace. It was quite busy, but we were fortunate enough to snag the last table. The coffee is really quite good, and reasonably priced. I also had the feta and spinach quiche, which... read more

they are known for their coffee and bakery items as we heard so we went for breakfast. We ordered the pancakes and French toast. It was the big breakfast with eggs- however you want them, sausage and bacon. French toast and pancakes were delicious! Eggs however were all still wet even tho they were supposed to be scrambled and overhard.... More

The restaurant is located in the basement of a renovated waterfront building adjacent to Canal Park. We stopped in while waiting for the SS William A Irvin to open. The corned beef hash was excellent and the sourdough bread amazing. Coffee was a little weak, may be a regional thing. Restaurant has a stage for performers and there were a... More

Wonderfully fun and yummy. I stopped in on a rainy day for coffee but also picked up a gluten free lemon bar which was out of this world yummy! Live coffee house style music was happening and a nice crowd of coffee drinkers at the tables. Staff was hip and super friendly. Will be back when I am in town!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Duluth and I remembered this place from a previous visit. It's amazing just like the name says. I had a dirty chai and he had a coffee and we shared the hummus plate (it was huge and delicious! Great value).. I loved the atmosphere and the staff

Sandwiches made to order and amazing coffee, which is roasted locally and is topped up as fast as you can drink it.

homemade sandwiches and soup- Very nice staff- especially a server named Claire! She was so sweet and chatty. It made our whole weekend just meeting her. Great coffee, but not crazy on the cookies, tastes like raw dough.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch while we were waking around canal park. We were impressed with the atmosphere and the workers were very friendly, but we ended up having to spit a meal because it was so expensive. It was about $16 for us to split a sandwich and a bowl of soup. Don't get me wrong,... More

We stopped while waiting for the north woods smoke haus to open. A dirty chai (chai with a shot of espresso) and a lemongrass mint tea. The Rosemary bacon scone stole the show. We've stopped before and will certainly be back!

We have been the Amazing Grace many times. It is one of our favorite places to eat lunch in Duluth or to just go for a midmorning coffee and a muffin. Fabulous baked goods as well as wonderfully hearty soups and sandwhiches. I believe they bake all their bread and other baked goods as well. They are cafeteria style and... More
