Ate her many times . waiters very nice. Owner is not. While here last we witnessed at scene were she told another customer their kids were messy and out of control. These children were not out of control just a very nice family having dinner together not bothering anyone. I felt very sorry for them as there was many around... More

The spring rolls, chicken satay, Bangkok Pad Thai, green curry... all amazing. The staff is great, I have always had great service and great food. The only thing that I'm not real fond of is the Mango sticky rice. It's very similar to other sticky rice in Duluth... and does not have nearly enough of the coconut creamy sauce deliciousness... If you exit I-35 at 21st Ave. East, follow 21st up the hill until it joins Woodland Avenue. Then continue on Woodland past the university area, past Mount Royal, past the 4-way stop at Oxford, past Hartley Nature Center, and you will come to a little shopping area with some service stations, Woodland Market Grocery Store, Denny's Hardware, a Sammy's... Went here for the first time for dinner last night and was quite impressed! Wasn't expecting too much but left full and very happy! The building is quaint on the outside but nicely set up and decorated on the inside. I had the Vegetable Basil dish and my boyfriend had the Shrimp and Beef Pad Thai. We shared the Chicken... More

Recently had a wonderful time dining at Sala Thai. The server was friendly and attentive, and the food and wine delightful. Everything was fresh and tasty. We had the spring rolls, chicken massaman, and fried rice. We look forward to returning for lunch or dinner soon.

Buffet at lunch can be good but often entrees are sparse and not refilled fast, and I'd you get there after12:45 be prepared to have slim picking on the buffet-- and pay the same price!!!

This neighborhood restaurant is not what you would expect. It is authentic Thai food. The Thai Spring rolls are excellent. I would personally recommend the following dishes: beef massaman, or chicken massaman if you prefer, beef red or green curry, vegetable curry, and the beef lard is out of this world. the Pad Thai is the best I've had outside... We have been to this restaurant several times. Food is well prepared and tasty and the owner does her best to please every customer. Small but comfortable and nicely decorated. Prices are reasonable too. A bit out of the way for some tourists but well worth seeking.

What a gem this little Thai restaurant is. The lunch buffet is a delight. Not soggy as most buffets are but fresh and crisp ingrediants cooked in small amounts keeps the buffet a delight. We have ordered off the menu in the past and never been disappointed. Every thing including the vegetables are fresh. I would highly recomment this restaurant.... More

$45 spent on takeout for three people (not especially big eaters), and we barely had enough to satisfy ourselves. What we did have was mediocre and almost completely lacking in distinctive Thai flavors and heat. At the prices Sala Thai charges, it would almost be more cost-effective to drive 150 miles to St. Paul for decent Thai.
