Here is a little advice if you would like to keep your sanity while visiting Duluth in the summer or peak fall. DON'T EAT/DRINK IN CANAL PARK, don't get me wrong, Canal Park is awesome when it's not busy, like really awesome. However if you'd like to go to a super cool place with a great food and drink Tycoons... More

We ate here as part of a large informal group of about 40 folks. There were two waitresses assigned to us and they did an excellent job. Most of the food was good, and maybe because I had never had I was very impressed by the Lake Superior white fish on a bed of wild rice. There could have been... More

My wife and I have been eating here since opening day, and the owners did a great job with this lovely old building. The food has been consistently good to great, but they seem to have really cut the number of offerings, including some of my favorites. Still a good choice, and check out the super-coolness of the Rathskellar under... More

Rathskeller in German means "council's cellar", and that's where you will find this very unique bar conversion from the former jail. Yes you heard that right, this building is the original Duluth City Hall, and the sub-basement was the jail early on in the century. This is much more interesting than the snobby bar on the main floor. The decor... More

We wanted to eat in Duluth's favorite restaurant, but the waiting line was very long, so we came to Tycoon's. Not the worst choice in town, probably; but they had the irritating habit of so many bars that also serve food. The service was great UNTIL the drinks had been served, then everything slowed down dramatically. I suspect they wanted... More

Walked from our hotel on Canal Park. They placed our party of 8 in a hallway. We were constantly interupted by patrons using the back staircase. My husband ordered fish and chips. Two small pieces of fish and a small handful of fries. Not enough if you are actually hungry. One more piece of fish and a little bit more... More

One of the best deals in town -- wonderful Russ Sackett live piano/cello duo most days from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, along with $5.00 appetizers, bountiful in size and very well prepared (and $2.00 brats with sauerkraut!). The hummus is great, with a zip and real vegetables; the deviled eggs a novelty, and the toasted bread bruschetta is wonderful. Add... More

Saw a billboard for this restaurant and figured I'd give it a try. Safe to say I was not disappointed! I really enjoyed the local produce aspect! I love to support local areas and this fit the bill! I had a burger from here (the menu said where they source their food) and it was delicious, cooked just as I... More

The flavor was good, they were cooked to the right temperature (medium rare) how ever the steaks were very tough and chewey- not what one would exepct from a... More
