They serve Fitgers beers, but the taps rotate frequently. Menu items are hit and miss and not an exceptional value, but service is generally good and the skinny fries are to die for if you can get them hot. The Swedish meatball platter is divine as well as their salads. The real treasure is in the basement- if you go... More

Our group of six stopped for dining a drinks and left with a great experience, our waiter Chad seemed to know exactly what we wanted and boy did he deliver, almost like mind reading. The food was great and the drinks were excellent, can not wait to go back. Even if you hate everything, go down stairs and enjoy the... More

We visited the basement area for drinks and apps on Friday at about 4 p.m. The area was not very busy but the waitress refused to look in our direction or wait on us. Finally my son stood up and approached her as she attempted to pass us yet again. She then said she would wait on us and bring... More

Loved the atmosphere and decor. Deep fried pickles were awesome as well as all the other food we had. Service was excellent.

We really enjoyed the lunch offerings at Tycoon's. If you're here at anytime, make a point to explore the entire building as they've done a great job with the remodel. All floors have their own unique twists. Finish your stay enjoying great local and important craft brews in the basement, which will take you back in time to another era.

Stopped in for a beer while on a Sunday walking excursion of downtown Duluth. Excited to see many Craft beers on tap. Bartender/waistband were well dressed and polite. Great conversation with staff about local happenings and tourism topics.

My little brother took me to Tycoons for a drink on Friday night and we went back with the family for lunch on Sunday a few weeks back while we were visiting up in Duluth. We had a drink at the bar which is nice, but then took it down stairs to check that out! It was super cool, very... More

The restaurant is located in the old administrative building of Duluth from the 1800's. The food and service was excellent but the best part is the basement bar. This was the old jail, where inmates and jail staff had to climb down ladders. Now there is an elevator but the atmosphere feels like a speak easy.

This is such a neat restaurant with an old timely feel! If you want to go for a after dinner drink just take the elevator down to the bar in the basement it feels like your sneaking a drink in the prohibition days!
