Our large group decided to visit Ernie's for dinner on a Saturday night over Labor Day weekend. We had been there before and liked it enough to bring 11 people there this time to celebrate my daughter and son-in-laws 1st Anniversary. Bummer that we were running a little late, but our server tried to rush us in placing our order.... More

Ernie's is the best lake view place to eat in the Brainerd Lakes Area. We are a resident and love to eat lunch and dinner here. It is the first place we bring our out of town guests! All the food is terrific but the fish and chips are great. We always pay the upcharge and get the fries. They... More

Average food.... Nothing special.... Small portions.... Great bloddy Mary's. A decent place to get a drink if you are on the boat on Gull. Otherwise just average.

This is our go-to spot when we are in the Brainerd lakes area and don't want to cook. The food is great- especially the fish entrees. The walleye sandwich is huge and the homemade tartar sauce makes for an amazing sandwich. Prices are a little high but portions and quality warrant them. The patio is small but if you go... More

We sat on the patio on a beautiful summer night, had great views. Service was probably some of the worst I have seen. Thankfully the food made up for it. I suggest the lobster bisque! Prime rib was also wonderful, unfortunately the wait staff was so rude, like they hate their jobs. Pricing was a little high, but the area... More

Quick food and great atmosphere on patio with a view of Gull Lake. Our server wasn't very accommodating or friendly though.

Fun place to people watch and good food too. Right on the lake. It was an hour wait when we arrived at 6:30 on a Thursday night. Walleye dinner was good. Be sure to get a table on the deck outside the restaurant.

I was told to try another place in the area but saw Ernie's while sitting on the sandbar. It seemed busy even at 4pm. So my wife and I decided to stop here instead. Was totally worth it. Get there early though, cause we got there before 6pm and still waited 30 minutes for an outdoor seat. Just grab a... More

My husbands family vacates in Nisswa every year and I've been coming for 11 years and this is the very first we have stumbled upon Ernie's on Gull Lake. I love the outdoor seating the food the drinks and the adirondack chairs overlooking the lake and the ongoing games of beach volleyball!!! I have found a new spot on Gull... More

Very disappointed. Everything on the menu is overpriced and food prep is far from special. Pints of Beer run $1 to $1.50 higher than same craft beers available in decent gastro pubs in twin cities. Service is barely OK…many young servers who only work there in summer. I ordered fish and chips… got three small panco breaded coated fish pieces... More
