Try during Happy Hour

Sitting in our Hotel room we both wanted a beverage and were feeling a bit snacky, and as i looked out the window right across the street was Blue Point. We looked it up and decided to try it. We happened to get there at happy hour so we sat at the bar, which was a nice area. There were... read more

Blue Point is a great, less expensive, alternative to Oceanaire. The seafood is always fresh. The halibut is excellent. The servers are great. They have a nice wine offering. The only negative is they are on the ground floor of an office building which is a little off putting in terms of ambiance but once you are inside the restaurant... More

Good not great seafood. All fish is fresh, never frozen. We had a quiet business dinners here. We ordered a local fish...Walleye...which was very well prepared and lightly bread in Cap N Crunch and lightly fried. Not a huge fan of fish breaded in Cap N crunch but I had to try it. The breaking was too sweet for my... More

We were visiting Minnesota to see friends and sites and a Red Sox baseball game, needed lunch and wanted fish, so found this restaurant. Told it is family owned and not a chain. Our Mussels were outstanding, and my wife's Shrimp Risotto the same. My fish sandwich was only OK. The sauce they put on the sandwich did not enhance... More

Location in a corporate building, unusual for non-residents, hard to find. Hard to park. Recommended, so went with business colleagues. Food was well prepared, nice selection, not the typical fare. Staff were courteous but the follow-up service was very slow, either inattentive or over-booked wait staff (had to wait to get drink refills, never got coffee though ordered, had to... More

My husband & I went here for dinner last Saturday night. We had exceptional service. I am terribly sorry that I can't remember our waitresses name but she was very warm and friendly and very attentive. I had the duck and my husband had a seafood medley. Both were excellent. We had started with an order of oyster rockerfeller and... More

This was a lovely surprise, very nice atmosphere, good waiter, very good food. We tried their cocktails, really enjoying the limeade with ginger. They have a very nice selection of food choices in the bar. I will come back to try their other menu.

First visit to Blue Point and it met our expectations. I had the seafood stew and it was very flavorful. The Beet Salad was also very good. The New York was done correctly and served with red potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Our server, Sarah was top notch and offered suggestions and an apology that they weren't serving the PEI mussels... I had been here before and the service and food were good. Not this time. Went for oysters and drinks and low key dinner during happy hour. First order of oysters (6) were fine . (You only get chef choice at happy hour) The next were gag worthy as were the next that they promised to be better. We had... More

First visit to the Bloomington location. Stopped by today to celebrate the impending retirement of a long term employee. Staff was friendly and courteous. Gave us time to talk and review menus without pressure. Waitress offered up suggestions. Food arrived hot and ready to eat. I enjoyed the clam chowder and seafood tacos. Fellow diners tried the Walleye Sandwich, Burger,... More
