My wife and I along with 11 others had our supper there last night, which was the 7th of Dec 14. I had a full rack of BBQ ribs along with a salad etc. The whole party of 13 enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent, from the waitress to the time we got our meal. I would go back... More

Food was as great as the service. Great atmosphere log cabin feel. Friendly staff. We met friends and had a great time. Could sneak a peek at the TV with sporting events around the room. Signed up for the birthday club to earn points for gift cards. We will stop back often.

We took a group of 7 of us there for Wednesday night burger night. The burgers were great and a good bargain. Lots of nummy toppings to add to them. The service was good (thank you Gabby). We sat on the bar side and it was very relaxing. We'll be back.

First...no spinach salad..out of product. Next...hungarian golash with crispy spatzle. Oh dear. Sauce was tasteless n tasted reheated. The mgr said it was frozen product that was sauteed. Just bad food...cannot imagine how this place has rated high. Horrible experience.

Took my son-in-law out for his birthday. Nice atmosphere and very clean. Had steaks, brisket, and chicken meals. All very good. My wife and daughter are very selective on food selections and Black Bear meets our needs!

Definitely try them for your side! IPA craft beer if the month was great,too. Also enjoyed the home-made bread with honey butter. Wonderful north woods feel with Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and old standards playing softly. Very warm, comfortable atmosphere. Only negative was the prime rib was a little too fatty, but I will definitely be back!

My friend and I went to dinner on a Sunday night. We shared the wilted salad with HOT bacon dressing..... it was absolutely delicious!!!!!! We then shared the shrimp pasta, very good! We sat on the bar side. Service was good too. I would go back just for the salad! YUM!! The beer was cold too:}

We went for Sunday brunch and found the food to be fine, but not great. Our shoes actually stuck to the carpeting, which didn't do much for our comfort level. The person making the omelets was moving very slowly and was so far behind that we were done with the rest of our food before he had finished making the... More

We sat on the bar/restaurant side of the building, there is also a more formal dinning room on the other side. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered the Mahi Mahi fish tacos which were really fresh and tasty as well as the Walleye fish sandwich which was also fresh and delicious. Other than the we had the spinach... More
