Owned by Mexican couple. He does the cooking with one assistant. Every dish from scratch, with homemade tortillas. Dishes from many parts of Mexico. Quezo Fundido appetizer of melted Chihuahua cheese, chorizo or not, small fresh warm tortillas, with salsa melts in my mouth! Every dish is delicious, beautiful. All served with rice and the best refried beans I've ever... More

La Fiesta is the best! Authentic Mexican food excellently preparedly and served by the owners. You will love finding this small gem of a restaurant and telling others about it. BYO beer or wine or enjoy a soda from Mexico with your meal.

I chose La Fiesta for my birthday dinner. After having read the reviews, I noticed a mix of great and some poor review. I spoke with friends and they told me their experience had been good so we decided to try it for my birthday. I couldn't have been happier. The owner immediately welcomed me when I walked in the... I've had better and I've had worse. No chips/salsa served without ordering/paying. Service was slow - only one older woman. Food as expected.

Family run restaurant. Flavor straight from Mexico. Delicious lunch combos. BYOB can be fun. Can be a touch pricy, especially the "extras" like guacamole and such but the taste and quality are always good. I've eaten here dozens of times and have every intention of coming back.

After trying this restaurant last night I'm not really sure what to make of the hoopla on this board. Based upon my experience, other than its close proximity to Eastern Michigan University's campus and it's authentic feel, this restaurant has virtually nothing worthwhile to offer. For starters, the restaurant was understaffed and the service was impersonal, even if it was... More

Searched restaurants in ypsi on tripadvisor and this was one of the first I saw, so I decided to give it a chance. I'm staying near the airport and La fiesta Mexicana is about a 20 minute drive. I read it was a byob, but Ive never done that so I didn't ate any liquor in. Michelle and Guillermo were... More

Ate here for the first time yesterday, was pleasantly surprised. Had the potato tacos, which I'd never heard of before. (You either?) They were delicious! Delicious in the sense that I kept thinking about them even after leaving the restaurant. Not greasy, or bland, but just right texture and flavor wise. Everything here looks and tastes authentic and home cooked.... More

The authenticity and freshness of their food; their service and the fact that La Fiesta is the oldest Mexican restaurant in the Ann Arbor area and their recipes are still remain the same, as the day in 1990, when they first opened. I love those guys!.

Rumor has it that the cuisine is here is more authentically Mexican than the usual Southwestern US that Mexican restaurants serve. I have nothing to compare to as far as authenticity but this food is absolutely outstanding. Park on the side street and walk around the corner. It's worth the effort.
