Enjoyed my first trip to Bob Jo's. Sampled the special lemon and had a vanilla custard. Both were wonderfully simple and hit the spot on a nice summer night.

Having never been to Detroit, we drove over to Bob Jo's, based on a lot of positive Yelp reviews. Bob Jo's didn't disappoint. It's a very "classic-looking" ice-cream stand, complete with push-letter signage. The frozen custard is amazing, and the prices are unbeatable. I got a medium twist cone with toasted coconut coating, and it was luscious. This creamy and... More

This place is by far best custard ever. Use to live in Michigan would drive almost half hour to make the trip to Bob Jo's', moved to Florida nothing even close, in town 4th July weekend a must have before heading home today, can't wait

I have been going here for over 35 years. I no longer live in the area and still make it a couple times per year. It is the best custard around!

Best ice cream by far in the downriver area...I do wish they would stay open a little longer in the fall...my only gripe

I stopped by one day on a nostalgic trip through the area. I was transported back to a time when life was much simpler. Their custard tasted just like I remembered. I filled my kids with stories of steamy summer days and what a treat it was to load into the station wagon and pull up to Bob Jo's. I... More

It's been years since we went to Bob Jo's and were in town for a family visit so decided to stop by. We were not disappointed. It was so creamy delicious and yummy! I wish there was a Bob Jo's where we live although I'd be tempted to eat there all the time :)

I may have been one of this place's first customers. It opened in 1947 at Fort & Eureka, less than half a mile from where I lived. I was 14 months old back then. Now I'm 67 (years, not months) and have tried frozen custards all over the US, Canada and Europe. Bob Jo's is definitely the best. Now I... More

I was not blown away by this place like I was expecting to be. I had a frozen custard and it was bad but it wasn't the best I've had. I don't know that I would venture back, its always so busy...just for average.
