The burgers are very good, and cooked the way I and my wife like them. A very large selection of beers. We like to go for happy hour between 3 & 6 but we usually stay longer. Melissa is one of the best bartenders we have had serve us. She pours a nice cold 22 oz Killians :-) . We... More

One suggestion if you have never been to oak and want to eat, Go for early lunch! Burgers are good, cooked as ordered, wide selection of beers. Priced comparable to other pubs in the Downriver area. Place is small, so friday and saturday nights are packed.

We came about dinner time and the place was packed. Service was understandably slow but the food was worth the wait. I probably won't return just to eat as I like my food right away. This should not discourage you if you like to sit and sip a drink and eavesdrop on conversations. Worth a try and I'm glad we... More

I came in here with a friend last Wednesday and was immediately blown away by the taplist. We were visiting from out of state on a beer tasting tour of Michigan and decided to spend some time in the Detroit area and Grand Rapids. This was one of the single best bars we went into. So many top notch beers... More

This isn't your typical Budweiser, Bud light and Miller kind of bar. This is where you go for the good hard to find stuff! Thank god for this place or I would never go out. Highly recommend their homemade apple pie shots...they don't taste strong but they definitely sneak up on you. Atmosphere is eclectic and low key. Jukebox is... More

Beer selection is very good. Service was terrible. Two of us at the table and the waitress forgot to bring one of the beers... For about 30 minutes. Food took over an hour to come to the table.. A ceaser salad and a chicken roll up. Appetizer showed up after we inquired about it and the waitress said it was... More

Is available here. If I recall correctly, they have something like 28 beers on tap, including a number of beers brewed in Michigan. They also have some tastey sandwich selections. The only drawback to this place is that it is very small.

This was my first visit to the Oak Cafe. My friend told me about their great craft beer selection. My girlfriend and I came in for some beers and food. First and foremost, they don't accept credit cards. You will need to stop by an ATM before your visit. This is an inconvenience for me as I never carry cash.... More

This place has great pulled pork sandwiches, and bar burgers. These aren't your run of the mill cheapo cat grade meat burgers you get at some other downriver establishments. I always order the root beer on tap to wash down my sandwich and fries. Some people complain about them not taking credit cards and i would imagine the place will... More
