There's nothing seriously wrong with the fare at the Red Cedar Grill except the price that you pay for it. Wine by the glass was $7 - $9; an appetizer of roasted garlic (two heads) with toast cost $12. The whitefish (that would have been better without the tomato-based "lobster" sauce) was $20, with an extra 4 bucks for a... More

We popped in here for lunch on our way to Detroit from Grand Rapids based on the reviews we saw online. The reviews were spot on. Service was quick and attentive. We explained that we had to catch a flight and wanted to eat quickly and to give us a heads up if anything we ordering would take a while.... More

My husband and I love Red Cedar Grill! Humble and modest the restaurant offers a quiet setting with delicious & fresh food that has the friendly, attentive service to back it up! The first time in our server (we don't remember her name but she was younger) was extremely helpful and knowledgable about finding me something to eat without garlic... More

Living close by, we've eaten there several times over the years. It is locally owned and operated. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, but not intrusive as they can be in some places. We were there with people we've known for a long time and wanted to converse. There were six people and rather than push two tables together,... More

We visited this restaurant on Mother's Day with a groupon certificate. However, we didn't read the fine print that said coupon was not good on a holiday. Our dinner experience was not great but since we had to use the coupon before June 30, we went back. First we had bread that seemed to be warmed in the microwave. It... More

My 11-year-old grandson attended cooking camp here. They had the kids making pasta and sauce from scratch the first day! The kids even hand-rolled their own noodles. My grandson learned a lot about cooking and had a fabulous time.

Had an early afternoon reservation for Mother's Day...we arrived a bit early and our table was ready. The good part of the visit ended there! Service was terrible...we waited 20 minutes for drinks. ANother 30 minutes to palce our order and another hour for our food to arrive. Tables were being seated and were finsihed and leaving while we waited.... More

Came here for my sons graduation party from MSU. There were 11 of us. Our waitress was fantastic in taking care of everything. However, they were out of several things on the menu. I'll start with the good, roasted garlic appetizer was a hit with everyone, two heads in an order. The chicken picatta was good, the goat cheese covered... More

My fiance and I visited on a Saturday night after 7:00pm. Wasn't busy at all. Hostess was very nice...informed us that usually on weekends reservations are required because they are usually busy. We ordered drinks that were wonderful...blueberry mojito and sangria. Appetizer of carnitas and Johnny cakes was amazing...so many flavors. Sirloin steak and chicken picatta was outstanding. Wait staff... More
