Great summer time patio

You can have a very quiet dinner inside or during the summer you can enjoy a very relaxing drink and a meal on the patio while viewing or listening to the sounds of the Red Cedar River. Country setting in downtown Williamston. The food is good and has various selection giving this little town... read more

The most intimate location in this house turned into a coffee house/pub is right next to the fireplace. The menu is limited and pricey but most of the restaurants in Williamston are pricey as well with the exception of being Ellie's Family dining. The night that my wife and I met another couple at the Riverhouse I had ordered the... More

Went with another couple to lunch on a beautiful summer day. Sat outside and enjoyed the view of the river. Service was good and the waiter was attentive to our needs. I had the whitefish sandwich with sweet potato fries and a side salad. Other had the Reuben sandwich. No complaints as we sat and talked for1-1/2 hours. I hope... More

Sausage & pasta dish sausage terrible. sausage was the cheap smoked kind with a can of tomatoes tossed in the pasta. Was not fresh fennel sausage. Poor quality food. I would have sent it back but I was being treated for dinner and did not want to embarrass my cousin. I will not go back. As a side note. replace... More

I travel for a living so I guess I expect a lot. I had the pork shank. It was very good. My wife had angel hair carbonara with peas. My wife hates to complain. I did not notice. Hey carbonara did not have the peas in it. This may seem like no big deal- but the peas make the meal.... More

I recently returned here for dinner after a 2-year absence. My hope was that it had improved since my last visit. Unfortunately, it had not. We started with cocktails, which were fine, but I felt were overpriced for what we received (small). Charge me whatever you want for food or drink, but give me some value! I ordered the filet... The food was very good. I had butternut lasagna and hubby had pork with green beans and potatoes prepared by a chef who could be preparing the food for an "upper crust" clientele Glad he's working in small town America . It was a slow night at the restaurant and felt the prices were a little high for the food... More

Just been here one time, but overall impressions were good. We opted (as did everyone else that day) to sit on the patio. Hands down the best view and most peaceful of any patio I've been to in Mid Michigan. The server was super attentive, polished, and fit the establishment's feel. We only had drinks that day, but watched others... More

This place has a lot if potential. It's a lovely setting, the food is good, the outdoor chairs were very uncomfortable and in a warm day the inside was way too warm. Make it comfortable and it will be great.

We went a couple of years not dining here after a mediocre meal a few years ago. This is one of the best places in the Lansing area for outdoor dining, no ugly parking lot or street views. (I do wish they would do a bit more with the indoor décor since this is an historic home) The staff was... More
