This hangout and "never want to leave" bar and restaurant has become a metro Detroit landmark. Not much has changed (nor should it) since it's establishment in 1986. Whether you're in a suit or just finished playing softball, you'll feel comfortable in this northern Michigan-like lodge with soaring cathedral ceilings, rustic pine furniture, four pool tables, and two stone fireplaces. Enjoy the Jack Daniel's BBQ ribs, Black Angus steaks, fresh fish and classic burgers while you knock back some ice cold bottles of beer. Or, step outside and relax on the outdoor garden terraces. This metro Detroit mainstay is a fun and lively hangout after-work or just for play. The lodge-style setting creates a charming, laid-back atmosphere. Sit back and relax in the rustic pine furniture or in front of one of the beautiful stone fireplaces.

Great local watering hole ( if you know what I mean )

Great local watering spot to go after watching the local high school football games. Has a diverse menu from appetizers to prime rib. Good food. Great staff. They are now under new ownership and now offer C&W entertainment. There is a continuity of service. They have retained the general... read more

The place has good food but service can be so so at times. Its a little pricey for the kind of place it is but at least most of the portions are on the larger side.

This used to be an average restaurant for the Westland area, nothing too special but it was something different every once in a while and sometimes good for birthday dinners. But now since there is a new owner 'James' he is a very young guy, maybe in his 30's that hasn't learned the first thing about customer service and he... More

For starters our waitress Kathy was pleasant and attentive and that is as good as it gets. I ordered French Onion soup, after moving the white blob (cheese?) I found the soup was salty enough to make a healthy man stroke out. Kathy noticed I pushed my soup to the other side of the table so she had the manager... More

I was in town visiting family and we decided to go to dinner here, we loved it, if you like wild game get the road kill platter (don't let the name throw you off) it was really good. The place really has that northern outdoorsman vibe, very cool place.

We visited this restaurant a few years ago and it was great but it has new owners now and they really need to make some adjustments. I had made reservations because there were 8 of us. We were seated right away and drink orders were taken. After 15 minutes with no menus we flagged our server down to ask for... More

A group of us (9) went here to eat after a high school program. Our food was good and the first drinks were brought right away. Unfortunately, the waitress never returned to bring us more drinks. One of our group finally asked someone else to help us and after 15 minutes that person came over. We were finished eating by... More

We have dined at this tavern many times over the past 10 years and have enjoyed dining there. We went to dine there today and had a bad experience. This tavern is under new management or new ownership. We experienced slow service from the staff and nearly froze while the door was opened to the outside air which was in... More

Normally this is a great place to be. The food is usually very good and the service is too. However, this time it wasn't. The spicy chicken tasted like someone just dumped Cajun seasoning on it. The artichoke dip wasn't very good and it came with a bunch of broken chips. The service was abrupt and the bill just showed... More

Great rustic atmosphere and diverse menu. Always great service and great food. Turkey dinner is outstanding and the price is just right. Pot Roast and grilled salmon are favorites. The chocolate chip cookies are delicious. Its a great place to go on Sundays to catch an NFL game and have a great meal.
