My favorite fine dining experience in Southeast Michigan. The two times I dined here, with family, what was notable were: Mr Lark serving as maitre d, greeting and seating each customer, the rack of lamb 'Ghengis Khan' very good, the ambiance, the clientele. If Michelin gave out stars for Detroit establishments (and their scope is 'what's on the plate') then... More

The Lark is consistent and amazing. Great food and great service! I have been to The Lark for many years and it never disappoints.

I have travelled the world and eaten in some of the best and finest restaurants in France, Germany, Spain, Thailand, China, Japan and many many other countries. It is amazing that one of the best I have ever had sits just blocks away from my front door. Anyone visiting Detroit or Michigan and looking for a world class didning experience,... More

After having a reservation for over a month for our 42nd anniversary dinner, I received a call today from The Lark saying that now the restaurant is sold out to a private party! This is the SECOND time this has happened, but I guarantee it is the LAST time. This place obviously has no interest in Michelin stars when it... More

This is a West Bloomfield institution. Delicious, traditional food. They only have 2 seating - 6 and 9 pm and it is a full course menu (if I remember correctly) not a la carte. Expensive but worth it for the very occasional special event in your life.

What else can I say... I was so shocked that this kind of quality food is available some where other than mega cities. I would say their foods are French cuisine and I think so far in my life, this is the best French in U.S.A.

No matter the cost, which is high, the food will force you to return. Every plate that was brought to us was spectacular with every detail having been thought of. The main course could only be thought of as a dream and its surrounding dishes could have just as easily stood alone anywhere else. The atmosphere was quaint and unique... More

The Lark is a place in the stratosphere, on a par with Etoile in Napa and a few places in Paris. One can pay more and get less. It can be a bit difficult to find in winter, especially this one with the heavy snow accumulation. I don't think you can go wrong here, but save room for the dessert... More

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and he is a chef. We had an amazing experience in both food and service. The food was unlike anything both of us have ever tried. We even got to meet the chef who came to visit our table multiple times. Overall, the best dining experience we have both had. Highly recommend... More
