We were looking for a diner to have breakfast and found this one! The food was great and the service was wonderful! The coffee and food was hot and there was plenty of it! It's a clean no frills place. We will go there again when we're in Detroit!
I have been a paying customer for years I never experienced such unprofessionalism in a restaurant before I ordered one thing and they gave me something else when I tried to correct it they got an attitude and would not give me what I I ordered return to Grand River and Inkster facility three different times they refuse to get... This restaurant has been in business a long time. They have average food, average service, average prices for the easily satisfied. They specialize in volume. They don't cook 10 hot dogs, they cook a00 ( at a time ). The food is OK -- nothing to complain about; it just isn't "real good food". Their clientel is strictly "blue-collar". If... More
I've eaten breakfast here several times and the occasional lunch this is close to my nursing school. I've never been disappointed the food is always phenomenal. Large portions at a budget price. The omelets are huge and packed full, the French Toast is to die for, the club sandwich is pure heaven. The wait staff most are friendly I've gotten... More
Great, no holding back breakfast options offered at totally reasonable prices. Plan for a big splurge on calories, that'll be worth it in yumminess! The omelet was fantastic, and the French Toast was deliciously sinful. Too much food for two people, but so good, we couldn't help stuffing ourselves.
We had moved away 21 years ago to Tennessee and each time I come home for a visit, I return to this type of restaurant! We don't have any of these! I so miss the food! We were greeted right away by a friendly face and seated. Once we ordered, our food was brought out to us quickly. It was... More
My wife and I had dinner there (cod dinner) the "Mac and cheese" had absolutely no flavor!!!! Asked for lemon for my fish and it was rotted. We've eaten there before but will think twice before we go back...
On a recent visit to see family, I was taken to L. George's Coney Island for breakfast. First off, this place looks like it seats at least 150 diners, and crowded the entire time we were there. I have never seen such copious amounts of food! Two eggs with 6 strips of bacon and three large pancakes was $3.69! Let... More
Cannot rave enough about the breakfasts at Georges. Portions are hearty and I enjoy the REAL ham served with eggs. Service is warm and friendly with your coffee cup never empty. Coneys are excellent as well and salads, generous and filling. Parking lot is always full, a great indictor of a top notch restaurant. Prices are reasonable and there is... More
