Disappointed This Time.

We decided to go to The Nutwell Lodge due to our normal carvery restaurant being closed. I have eaten here before so expected it to be a good choice. I was however slightly disappointed this on this occasion. On arrival we we greeted at the door and shown to a table for three. The young man... read more

We have been here on a number of occasions. The service has never been great but you put up with that when it is cheap. The service has gradually got worse. it was quicker to walk to the bar and get our next drink!! We had a table reserved for valentines night. When we got there we were shown to... More

On arrival, we were seated in a dark corner and the waiter said he'd be back to take our order in a few minutes. We waited and waited but he did not return and we had to order at the bar. We then had a further drink whilst waiting for our tickets for the carvery due to lack of staff... More

Used to go to the Nutwell years ago so thought we'd give it another go, it was quite late afternoon when we got there , no cavery but a full menu to chose from , and very reasonable , the food was ok at best , chicken and ribs was fairly bland , curly fries were the best bit ,... More

We decided to stop here for food having past it many times , we made the right decision. The lovely aroma made us even hungrier upon arrival . We had a lovely waitress called Sophie and John who carved our meat was very welcoming. We ate on the fri night and even came back on Easter Sunday for tea because... More

We had a bad dining experience here a while ago but the place had undergone a refurb so thought we would try again. It had totally changed and the people could not do enough for us. The food was good and plenty of it. Overall a much improved experience

We stopped in on the way back from Exmouth after seeing a sign on the way saying £5.95 for a carvery. Because of this price we were not expecting too much, however we were pleasantly surprised! The décor was very pleasant and the staff were very accommodating. The food looked very fresh and was laid out well. We enjoyed our... More

We decided to have a carvery at the lodge as we had not been for sometime. The building looked tired, the service slow and food not very good, it was tasteless and over priced for quality. This was an outstanding place once but no longer. Shame.

I, like others on here, visited on Mothers Day and was booked in for the 2pm sitting. We had to wait out in the cold with 3 children for around 20 mins to be seated. Our starters eventually were served at 3:40pm, with 3 children you can imagine it was not an enjoyable experience. We understand it was a busy... More
