But the plough mans was a let down & expensive.it arrived with brown not very fresh sliced bread. My friend expected good crusty bread.she... More

The Globe has a good reputation when it comes to serving fish and I had traditional fish and chips at lunch which was well served and good but I found the décor rather dreary and heavy hence my 'average' score.

We recently spent a week in Lympstone on holiday. We ate in The Globe a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the 2 course Sunday lunch which was very tasty and excellent value and also went to the steak night which was also good food and good value. They also offer an extensive range of ales and... Defiantly our new local, we've been several times now and simply can't fault the place. Check out the folk night, 2nd Wednesday of every month. Quiz nights on Tuesdays. I re comed the burgers, best I've had in the South West.

A friend had just moved into the village and booked us into The Globe for a Friday night supper. Before going into the pub we enjoyed the view of the sunset over The Exe estuary from the disconnected pub garden, which was spectacular. Pub itself was very welcoming, dog friendly, good beer and excellent food with friendly service. Added bonus... More

Such a lovely pub, cosy and comforting, take your pint across the road and watch the sun set over the estuary Eaten several times there now, best burgers in existence and good sea food too Staff are extra welcoming, always cheery. Frequent the other pubs in Lympstone but this has to be my favourite

I have now eaten at this delightful pub several times and it just get's better. The menu suits all and is not vast but meets all tastes. I would rate this as the best for miles around. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The price I think is very reasonable.
