An oldy type pub which we loved.

Very close to the harbour and estuary. The menu is interesting and the food excellent. The lady behind the bar was friendly and very helpful. Dogs were welcome and we even caught up with the football! The train to Exeter/Exmouth runs from a station a few yards from the pub.

We popped in here for the monthly 'folk' night, which is more of a general open mic! Owner and bar staff very friendly and a wide range of local talent performing lots of different things.

And I didn't - I had fish and fries!! Just the best F&C imaginable with mushy peas and tartar sauce - just so good. And don't think you will need a microscope to see the fish - mine reminded me of Moby Dick. Well done Angie and Mike - just great. Tip:- House Red Wine = very good, don't bother... More

Stopped off for a quick bite while cycling through Lympstone, on Saturday lunchtime. Nice friendly atmosphere, in a traditional pub, with a good menu. Food was lovely, and quick. Will be going again.

The Globe has always been known for its seafood so it was a natural choice. Nice decor and fairly busy on the Friday of our meal. Friendly service and plenty of time for you even though it was busy. 'Fish and chips were first class. As many know you often get good fish or good chips, this was both so... More

I am local to the area so have visited this pub many times and have enjoyed it. However myself and my parents visited one afternoon after a walk, we had a drink and decided this should be the place my parents have their silver wedding anniversary meal. My mum booked it there and then and was specific about a table... More
