Lympstone is a really pretty village, and the Globe an excellent, proper pub to eat and unwind. Really great, quality food (confit duck - one of the tastiest I have ever had - and melt in the mouth pork cheeks). Friendly bar staff, lovely atmosphere, and the cutest pub dog ever!

Pleasant owner & staff. Food good the beef burgers where good quality meat , home cooked onion rings, chips presented in little chip fryer baskets. The fish & chips which my friend had looked very good.although the peas looked as if warmed in microwave they looked dry.

Lovely bar staff and food. The service is lovely. It's a bit tucked away but people shouldn't ignore this place!

Haven't had a chance to eat here yet but have popped in for a couple of ales. The transformation from previous visits is amazing, new decor etc. My reason for the review is quality of real ale and service. Great clarity on the pint and really looked after. Made to feel welcome even though it isn't our local. Lovely place.... More

In the need of a working lunch, I popped into the Globe Inn Lympstone, a warm welcome on arrival and a lovely atmosphere. After looking at the menu (great selection of dishes, if I was eating lots, would of gone for the venison burger - thatll be next time!) I only wanted a snack so went for the homemade fish... More

Our walking group visited The Globe Inn for our annual walk and enjoyed a lunchtime meal. The food had been pre ordered as there were 17 people and inluded traditional fish and chips, vegetarian burgers plus others and everyone was pleased with the quality of the food. There was a slight delay for some as the food was freshly cooked... More

My wife is from the village of Lympstone and I am aware that the Globe has changed ownership a few times over the years but this review is from my last few visits in 2013. I enjoy coming here as the bar staff are always friendly and they have a good selection of drinks including some pretty decent cider. The... More

What a great pub, recently refurbished by the new owners Angie & Mike but with a 'fresh as sea spray' feel to the subtle maritime themed interior. The pub is full of locals and visitors alike and everyone is as friendly as you can be. The beer is excellent, rugby on the TV is a real winner and the food... More
