Reliably Good

This is the sister of the famous downtown Detroit restaurant by the same name in Mexican Town. I don't know whether it's a hangover from the bad economy or not but this place no longer packs them in like it used to. We picked this place because the reviews said it was a good authentic Mexican Restaurant. And that it was. Great margaritas and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back again

Best mexican food in area. Be prepared to wait an hour for a seat on the weekend. Well worth the wait.

After eating family Mexican food for 50 years, this is the most authentic. Frijoles are great. The place is always busy- very popular!

Being from the southwest I was excited to visit this place. I was told this is the best Mexican food around. Upon my visit I can say, this place is not good at all. It is probably good to those that have not had real Mexican food but to those that know real Mexican food this place will disappoint you.... More

We've been going to Mexican Village for years, and we've always loved it. They have delicious food that's always fresh. They food is the closest to authentic Mexican food I've had at a restaurant around here, and the service is always good. It's a quaint little place and if you're looking for good Mexican food, I highly recommend it.

I've been going here for 30 + years. If you can't make it down to Mexican Town, this is your spot. The food is always piping hot, and the salsa is made in store. Always a favorite.

It is the best in town and you know it because the wait is Always an hour and a half on the weekends! But the margaritas are worth it!

Bell peppers in everything. I have a severe reaction to bell peppers. No problems with jalepeno's or other peppers. I could not find anything appetizing on the menu that they could make without bell peppers. Really?
