Very Good ...

We have been going to Hawaiian Island for years. The food is very good, and large portions. The restaurant itself is clean, but needs a bit of a facelift. The waitresses are always good. Their soups are delicious. This is the only Chinese food restaurant we frequent downriver.

Their foods are cooked in animal bi-products, so impossible for vegetarians to eat there. It's dark and quite, so very private if that's what you are looking for.

We have never dined in. We always order carry out. One of our favorite dishes is sweet-and-sour chicken. The sauce is more of a pineapple base. The portions are large, great value.

Don't let the name fool you ... this is just another Chinese Restaurant. Menu is sit-down carry out. Nothing Fancy. Food is average ... salty and in some cases mushy. In spite of all this, service is good, price is right and location is easy to get to.

Yes a Flaming PuPu Platter a Polynesian treat loaded with egg rolls, ribs, shrimp, and crab rangoon that's on a rotating wooden platter topped with a fiery live fire cast iron pot that you can warm your goodies. The very best ever Hot n Sour soup make this a super place to eat at. Simply Amazing for 37 Years,,, great Food,, Low Prices... More

I've gone to a lot of Chinese restaurants in the USA and this is the gold standard. I could be biased, sure, I've eaten here since I was a wee little child. The eggrolls use bean sprouts (just the way I like them!), they don't but random stuff in the egg drop soup, and the breading is just right on... More

You know how you always have that one chinese restaurant that is your favorite? Well this one is mine. I get the almond chicken, or fried shrimp. all of their food is delicious.

We usually get take out, but have eaten in the dining room. Its clean but has been around a while. Food is great, the Sweet and Sour Sauce has pineapple chunks and carrot slices and the chicken that comes with it isn't strange. Take out seems a bit faster than dining in.

...and I've had alot of crappy Chinese. Get the Chicken Rice Soup, great rice, not weird chicken, and a great price. i could eat gallons of it.
