Good dinner

My husband and I came here on vacation. We read the reviews and decided to check it out. He hade the porterhouse and I had the prime rib. The prices were reasonable and we really enjoyed our steaks! I would recommend this to anyone wanting a good steak!

The food was as usual very good. Love the hamburgers and love the wedge with the Blue cheese dressing. Our waitress Cassie was very friendly and kind. The only thing that was off putting on our visit was a comment I overheard come from the kitchen. There were 4 adults and my 10 year old son. We were there on... More

So we called earlier in the day about making reservations (they don't). The dude who answered was snippy and short with us. We were a large party. But we were undaunted and decided to go anyway as it was recommended by a friend. Our waiter was extremely friendly even if we came in past 10 at night. The wedge of... More

Small, dark and unassuming, this old and treasured Traverse City establishment still has the best burgers, prime rib and lamb chops in the city. Don't miss their famous lettuce wedge with blue cheese dressing. Can be very crowded, but this is where the locals eat...

Had dinner here this past Saturday evening, choose this because of it's location near our hotel, the locals like it, and it was off of Front Street, which can become very busy on summer weekends. The place doesn't look like much, don' t let that fool you. The food was pretty good, we have had better and we have had... More

Highly recommend. Walk in to the early 70s motif but stick around. Wedge salad is phenomenal and I can't explain why. Servers are fun, energetic and all over it. Food was prompt and perfect. Recommended by two locals we had conversation with. It's an old school steakhouse that hasn't missed a beat.

If you don't know about Mode's Bum Steer you are probably a visitor to Traverse City. Mode's has been in business for over 40 years serving top quality steaks and seafood. While the food is of the highest quality, the prices will surprise you at being reasonably priced. The service is fast and friendly and will not disappoint you.

We are local--as you know, locals know. This is by far and away one of our TC favorites. It has quality beef as well as fish/seafood--always fresh and brilliantly prepared. On Fridays and Saturdays they offer a salad bar--they have the best homemade dressings anywhere. We go here frequently and even their sandwiches are terrific. Tried and true--they have been... More
