Awesome Prime Rib and Lobster Tails for the money!!! Unreal service and food! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing dinner at what looks like a hole in the wall place. I will be back here in the future.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel we stayed at for their steak dinner and we weren't disappointed. The service was top notch and from conversations overheard, there were many local customers who the servers knew by name. Our steak and rib dinners arrived quickly and were cooked to perfection. The salad was a wedge of lettuce with excellent dressing... More

This is an excellent choice if you want a great burger or steak or seafood--this place has been around for years and they do some of the best beef around. Boone's Long Lake Inn pales in comparison. On the weekends they offer their salad bar--some of the best homemade dressings around--there is not a ton on their salad bar as... More

Traditional steakhouse, I purchased a drink, turns out they forgot the alcohol, they did fix it at no extra charge-thankfully. My wife got a $30 filet, which was full of gristle, I got their special perch dinner, which was cold when it arrived. Service was non-existent. I use a cane and was unable to exit because the tables were so... More

We try to hit this place every time we're in Traverse City. I usually have a rack of lamb but went for a small prime rib this trip. My wife likes the Shrimp DeJonge and it never disappoints. The prime rib was perfect, very tender, flavorful, medium rare and came with real horseradish, the way I like it. Good coffee,... More

The inside is a little outdated but the food was really good. I had a burger and it was good quality burger. I would comeback here

I visited Mode's with friends, we were all sold on the filet & lake perch dinner. After a considerable wait in an inadequate space, we were ready for dinner. The perch was good, the bread bland & the steaks overcooked (so much so, we had to send one back, it was inedible). We had good service and the cocktails were... More

Since many years I visit Traverse City and if possible I will always visit Mode's at least once. Their steaks are fabulous! The place is not very big which is very nice. I don't like the big US restaurants where it is more about quantity then quality. Today I didn't have a steak for once; instead I did have the... More

Ordered the New York strip medium rare ($23) and it was served perfect.. Was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Great little place downtown, with awesome food. Would go back here again.

A family owned restaurant for over 25 years- excellent beef and the best perch (a local fish) which you just have to try- even if just an appetizer. In the downtown area and serving dinner until midnight. Also a great salad bar on Fri-Sat nights. Our very favorite in-town restaurant.
