Poppycocks has a varied menu. I had some excellent pasta with brie alfredo. The staff prepared a special dish for my wife who was on a low iodine, no salt diet.. She had an excellent salad. We sat in the street side window and it was very pleasant. Also sell some great desserts. I think you will enjoy a visit.

While the wine and beer list are substantial, the food, touted as foodie, was okay but not top quality. Everything was simply...average. The clientele appeared to be tourists, not locals.

We stopped in after a movie at the State theatre. I had the special, a chicken pesto pasta dish. My husband ordered a portobello mushroom in a puff pastry shell. Both were superb, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Can't wait to return!

The hostess seated us right away but we had reservations. She immediately brought water for our 3 year old grandson in a cup with a straw. Nice touch. The menu was limited but contained a variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees. There is a full bar with a great wine selection. The salads we ordered were freshly made at the... More

We flew in last night. Our stomachs told us that dinner was much later than the local time reported. We were fortunate to find Poppycocks open. We walked from our hotel down the wonderful Front Street. We shared the Parmesan White fish and each got a salad. It was wonderful.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, a must-visit on every trip to Traverse City. The vegetarian options are plentiful and delicious. My husband enjoys the fish plates. The soup, of course, is a highlight. I usually get the warm spinach artichoke heart salad and a cup of the tomato Swiss spinach soup. Portions are just right, and prices very... More

Stopped based on great ratings on TA. Good move. My wife and I both had a Tomato cheese based soup which was delicious. The best was the four cheese grilled cheese sandwich with some green pesto and a thin slice of tomato. Provolone Cheddar Swiss on the inside with a Parmesan crust on the outside. If you like soup and... More

Go... And order the tomato spinach swiss soup... It is incredible...and comes with a roll that is nearly perfect for it! We sat in the front window seats so we could people watch... Our waiter was helpful & charming and very attentive! We also chose the grilled cheese...which is unlike any other...Parmesan crusted and delectable!

This is a downtown location. Charming area. Though the restaurant is long and somewhat narrow, it had a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Started off with margaritas. Just sour enough with a generous serving of alcohol. Reviewed specials that were written on chalk board. Had to leave our table to see these and they were difficult to read, even up... More
