Craving it already!

We stopped here while walking around downtown TC. Loved the fusion-type menu. It's a tight space but it works well for them. We had the Banh Mi Dirty Fries which are AMAZING as well as the lamb ragu that was equally as delicious. Even though it has a classy upscale menu they accommodate children... read more

I loved this place. I was visiting Traverse City for the first time, and while we waited to cross the street, we asked a couple to recommend a good restaurant, and without hesitation they both recommended Poppycocks. I had been craving a burger, so thats what I ordered...it was HUGE, JUICY, and by far one of the best burgers I've... More

Very good dining experience with a local flavor in addition to some moderately innovative dishes. Whitefish cakes were very good as was strawberry, mango salad. Local wines available along with craft brews

Tomato soup oh the day was more of a salsa consistancy, steak was mediocre, black bean nachos were soggy. Atmosphere was great, had a jazz band with a sax player and flutist.

I am never worried when I take out of town guests to Poppycocks. It has a clean, unique menu, an artistic atmosphere. Often there is live music. The tomato-spinach-swiss soup should be a requirement to try when visiting Traverse City, paired with their seasoned roll and warm butter, it is a perfect meal in itself! They also offer home made... We ate here for a late lunch, around 2 pm, making it easy to get in, though they were still quite busy. The food was good, though not great. I had the "In and Out", a turkey club sandwich of sorts, which was good and a lot of food. I could not finish the whole thing. I had also ordered... More

This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is fresh, and the presentation is great. We stopped in the first night of our visit and came back two more times.

We went here for dinner around 830 pm. We were seated quickly but a server didn't stop at our table for quite a while. We were considering leaving when she finally stopped. There was a jazz band warming up to play (I think they actually started at 930) and it was extremely loud for the small restaurant. We were seated... More

Poppycocks sits in the central part of Main Street (near the Cherry Republic store). It was a busy Friday night and most groups had reservations. I was dining alone and waited about 20 minutes to be seated at the bar. I ordered vegetarian corn cakes since they seemed unique. The food was just okay, but dining alone I felt a... More

Poppycocks was the only restaurant that was still serving dinner after 9:00 PM unless you had a reservation. We were so happy that we found this place! The menu had a lot of choices, and they offered 4 chef's specials. We ordered rainbow trout with risotto, and our food was absolutely delicious! We also enjoyed the acoustic guitar duo that... More
