Terrific atmosphere

I really enjoyed this place. The restaurant itself has a very modern, trendy set up and ambience. I enjoyed a small plate of steak and potatoes, which consisted of a small New York strip portion and very good Gorgonzola fries. I also ordered some sushi which was decent.....not great.....but... read more

Extensive use of truffle oil in the restaurant dishes raised some red flags. We had some coffee and Tiramisu which were good, just overpriced but in line with every other place we visited in Traverse City in the middle of touristy season.

We meant to go back for dinner but never made it. Unique salads and appetizers. Perfect tuna. Enjoyable seating along the channel/river.

Very nice ambiance both indoors and outdoors. We sat on the patio with a view of the river. Service was attentive. Food & drink items were diverse and the quality was above average.

Excellent service, and consistent high quality food. Recommend ordering the small portion meals. The steak and french fries were delicious and the pasta with chicken done just right. Don't order till you get your drink from the bar since the bar tended to be a bit slow.

Different menus once again. Get rid of the white fish, it's terrible. The wait staff are working hard although witnessed lack of support from management. Attention Managers, you are allowed to lend a helping hand when needed. Watched a manager looking at tables with empty plates and kept on going. Lend a helping hand. Curious why customers are waiting for tables... More

Fantastic service including a hostess, a waitress and a manager who all went out of their way to make my eight year old granddaughter feel special and have a great time. Sushi was great, and because of a manager taking the time to help a little girl, she was able to eat her sushi with chopsticks for the first time.... More

Interesting menu with everything from soup and salad to full service entrees. We had a variety of small plates including some delicious pot stickers and the Traverse salad with yummy soup. Very attentive wait staff. Dining room is high ceilinged and young children with loud voices would have been an annoyance to diners like us who were there to listen... More

We have eaten at the Fire Fly twice in our visits to Traverse City from our vacation home in Northport and found the food to be very good. Service was prompt and polite and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Not cheap, but prices are reasonable.

Convenient to downtown TC but not in as busy an area with patio dining overlooking a pleasant section of the Boardman River. Nice menu selection, we enjoyed the TC salad. Friendly service.
