You better get here early if you don't want to wait. The homemade soups, baked goods, and daily special specials are fantastic. It is only open for Breakfast and Lunch but you can always buy some homemade baked goods to tide you over until they open again.

This is in response to Gerry's review of Green House Café in DT TC. Green House Café is named after the family who own the little breakfast/luncheon- Green. If Gerry actually went in and ate the food or asked how they got their name he would have known this information. They are super friendly and customer satisfaction is their #1... More

This is an excellent dining option for lunch in downtown TC. They have excellent sandwich options and always about 6 homemade soups daily. Their soups and salads excellent and they make all their baked good daily--beyond yummy! I have never had a bad meal here--it has been a downtown dining staple in TC for years--with good reason--the good survive--love this... More

Stopped in for late, quick lunch today, shortly before they closed shopped at 3. It did not matter, the food was very good. We had the chicken salad sandwich which included cherries, yummy. We also had a Reuben in which the sauerkraut had been infused with cherries. Sounds unusual, but it was also very good!

Great lunch location. Large portions. The variety and taste of their soups is amazing! We all got the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo and were all pleased with our options. Nobody left hungry. Their baked goods were tasty too.

Good service and good food. This is my first choice for breakfast in downtown Traverse a City. Mr. Green at the grill makes a good omelette. The OJ and coffee are of high quality. I also like the underwater photos on the walls. Someone likes to Scuba dive!

The French onion soup here is fantastic. I also always make sure to get at least one fresh baked cookie or muffin when I visit! The sandwiches are also very good.

I had fabulous blueberry pancakes and my husband loved the poached eggs on crab cakes. While the bacon was yummy it was a little on the thin size.

The food was absolutely delicious. 4 of the 5 of us ordered different soups and I tried them all. Probably the best French Onion soup I have ever tried. The Asparagus Parmesan soup was wonderful. The Chicken Noodle soup and the Chili were both delicious. So, so good. Even my pickiest eater said it was the best sandwich he had... More

We were guided to the Green House Cafe by some of the very positive recent reviews of the restaurant and the reviewers are right. The restaurant is unpretentious and comfortable with friendly staff, quick service and very good food. We went there primarily for their French onion soup which is every bit as good as the rave reviews claimed. I... More
