Can't recall what I ate but I do remember it was dang good. I know it was steak or prime rib and I know it was delicious.

We were starving so really went here by chance. I had salad bar and homemade soup. Both OKAY. Salad bar was great for a toddler though! Bonus! My husband ordered a steak and cheese sandwich and hot wings, both were delicious. Very hit or miss I suppose. Would not recommend for a traverse city vacationer with so many amazing choices.

This is the first time I have left a review anywhere. The best description of this place is DIRE. Food awful, Service dreadful. Cost extortionate. We should have been alerted when the menu listed Burgandy rather than Burgundy. An altogether missable experience. Avoid it like the plague.

We have been eating at this restaurant for probably over 30 years, that's why we call it our "old standby". We have never had a bad meal, in fact the food is delicious, there are choices that aren't the "same old, same old" like some restaurants. The service has always been excellent, well trained staff that seem happy to work... More

It was very good, some of the food was cold, so very good rating rather than excellent..Our server was Charlie who did a great job, there to get our empty plates immediately and kept our coffee hot! The food area was kept real clean and neat. All help was doing fine under the Mothers Day pressure. Enjoyed the food and... More

Howard Schede has been retiring from the restaurant scene and his daughter and son-in-law w own this location. There is some good and some poor to be had. The vegetable sirloin soup is rich and delicious. The French onion soup was salty and seemed to have a burnt flavor. The salad bar ($3.95 extra) is pretty good. My pasta dish... More

We went to Schelde's as a family. Great light in the front of the place under the skylight. The salad bar is small but packed with everything good. The soup was clam chowder and was excellent. Kids got portions large enough we had to take food home. Great all around experience. Thank-you!
