Great authentic middle eastern cuisine. Had the falafel and shish twook. Delicious. Nothing like the middle eastern food found in my home town. Very fast and friendly service! Loved the atmosphere and will definitely visit again!

Last night I stopped by Zakey's for dinner. I've eaten here in the past and always enjoyed the meal. Last night I had the vegetarian special. The falafel were amazing. They put a touch of cayenne in the mixture which adds just a little zing lifting these filling little treats to a new level. But the star of the meal... More

Food is always tasty, fresh and beautifully presented! We typically choose this restaurant whenever we are in Traverse City...we have been eating here for the past two years since we discovered it. We ate this type of cuisine when we lived downstate and missed it, and we're excited to have discovered this place. A great find! Food consistently good with... More

This is one of the worst, and probably THE worst restaurant I have ever been to. These guys are not only not even able to cook something decent, they are rude, insulting and mean. The chef (calling him chef is an insult to real chefs) is obviously totally besotted by his whitey young waitress, and his ready to abuse any... More

No visit to see my son in Traverse City is complete unless we eat at Zakey's. I absolutely love this place; from the atmosphere to the delicious food. I particulary love the roast leg of lamb - it is fantastic! Last time I was in town, I brought my entire family and in-laws!

After fighting the TC traffic and parking a few blocks away from downtown we strolled the Cherry Town streets. After a while we decided it was lunch time. Having had all kinds of "dine out" food over the last week, we wanted something a little light and different. We found Zakey's and decided that Middle Eastern would be the fare... More

My husband and I were in Traverse City for 1.5 weeks and ate dinner at Zakey's twice. Both meals were outstanding - particularly the stuffed grape leaves, hummus, and schwarma. We'll definitely return to Zakey's next summer.

Service was horrible, the waitress was so unprofessional and rude, I went with my wife and my father in law, the waitress came to take our order orally without writing our order, and of course we got the wrong order, and when I asked her she responded while she was walking its not my fault it's the chief's fault go... The place was cute and inviting. Our waitress Rebecca was very nice. We both got the daily special, lamb, cumbers salad and fries. We ordered a special hot tea, it was lemony and we drank out of little cups. It was great experience and would go back again. Our lunch was around $7.

My son and I stopped by Zakey's hoping for a great middle east lunchtime experience. Unfortunately that didn't happen. We experienced very small portions vs. what we usually get at Mideast restaurants in the Detroit area. The lemon/lentil soup was very watery, and was made with potatoes (?) w/ no lentils to be found. The lamb shawarma wraps had little... More
