The place was cute and inviting. Our waitress Rebecca was very nice. We both got the daily special, lamb, cumbers salad and fries. We ordered a special hot tea, it was lemony and we drank out of little cups. It was great experience and would go back again. Our lunch was around $7.

My son and I stopped by Zakey's hoping for a great middle east lunchtime experience. Unfortunately that didn't happen. We experienced very small portions vs. what we usually get at Mideast restaurants in the Detroit area. The lemon/lentil soup was very watery, and was made with potatoes (?) w/ no lentils to be found. The lamb shawarma wraps had little... More

A friend referred us to this place. We were excited to try it. So, my husband, who is Lebanese, asks the waitress if they have a certain dish that he enjoyed as a child. She says she's never heard if it because they only serve Middle Eastern food. He says the dish is Lebanese. She continues to school him on... More

Great Food, Good people, awesome variety. We had one server who was not up to par with the rest but have not seen her since our first visit. We go once a week and split 2 combination platters. I would recommend to every and any one looking for a good night out with out breaking the bank.

Stopped into this spot for lunch on a visit to my brother's in Traverse City. The food was good and is incredibly well-priced. I am a huge fan of baba ghanouj and lamb and ordered both. The baba ghanouh was good but the lamb was a little tough. While both weren't great, they were definitely better than I expected for... More

We did not eat here. We sat down and told the waitress we were going to wait for the rest of our party before we ordered (they were trying to find a parking spot). She went back to the owner/chef and I could hear her complaining about us. Because of that we decided to leave. When we were leaving I... More

Should not call Mediterranean restaurant. Worse Mediterranean food/ restaurant I ever had. The quality is low. They mix small samples all in one plate. They get mixed up. The Juice of the salad get over the hummos, hommos over what they called shawarma "in fact is only few pieces of chicken", the chicken is mixed with the rice.... The price... More

I met friends here and we enjoyed the gyro special where all of the ingredients circle'd french fries (a little strange for me - had 1-2 and were fine, just not what I expected) on the plate and came with Naan as a wrap if you chose. I ordered the garlic dip with pita and it was awesome - we... More

I was in Zakey's back in June with a co-worker on the way back from a conference in Northern Michigan. My co-worker ordered a falafel salad and I had an Arabic tea. While the tea was good, my co-worker had to send the falafel back as it was undercooked and not edible/lacked flavor. The owner explained that the lack of... More

I am a big fan of middle eastern food but by far, this is the worst middle eastern place i've ever been to. The staff were not friendly at all, I felt they were telling us not to come again, it took for ever to get your order ready, and prices are not reasonable at all. The place is not... More
