This place is AMAZING! First of all, the art gallery is a unique setting that displays local talent. Secondly, our waiter, Jack, was probably the best waiter I've ever had. I have multiple food allergies, which makes it hard to eat out, but Jack and the Chef were super accommodating and the food was out of this world!

Hubby and I stopped in for dinner after touring wineries and seeing the lighthouse. We were seated right away even without a reservation. I ordered the prime rib and hubby ordered wild mushroom pasta with chicken. They brought out a loaf of their fresh baked bread with dinner. Hubby said his meal was very good. My prime rib was one... Had lunch here. Both meal selections were great. Excellent service even though they were very busy. Excellent Key Lime pie. Nice little gallery adjoins the dining area. Clean, comfortable and a good valve for quality food.

My husband and I were in Traverse City for two days. After reading all the great reviews and after visiting the mission point light house and the two ladies working at the gift shop also recommending it, we stopped for lunch. We split the whitefish sandwich which came with slaw and homemade chips. We also had a cup of clam... More

We went to the Old Mission Lighthouse, and stopped here for lunch. I will definitely be going back there, as it was some of the best food I've ever eaten... Unbelievably wonderful hamburg, yes a hamburger, had me OMG'ing over and over. Cole slaw delicious, homemade chips delicious. All of the food looked wonderful, can't wait to try their prime... More

Ate lunch there this afternoon on the recommendation of a volunteer at the Old Mission Lighthouse. If we ever go back we will thank him profusely. Clam chowder was as good as any on Chesapeake Bay. The prime rib sandwich served French-dip style. Being from TN all I can say is as good a lunch as we have had since... More

Really enjoyed our dinner at the Old Mission Tavern. Had probably the best grilled prime rib I've ever had. Our server was delightful and we really had a special evening!

I've lived on OMP for 16 years and have dined at the Tavern many times. Count on great food, good service and a special ambiance. Don't expect Red Ginger and you won't be disappointed. Remember that you are 15 miles from downtown TC! Make sure to visit the gallery in the back of the store. Beautiful paintings and sculpture.
