Lunch

We had a terrific lunch of their chicken and cherry salad sandwich and fresh house made soups. Staff was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Excellent food, lovely environment. A fine art gallery to peruse while waiting for a table. Wait staff is attentive, even helping with one another's tables.

On our way back to Traverse we stopped here for dinner. Food was good, not the best, but average. The waitstaff was wonderful though! Everyone was friendly and helpful, and our water glasses never reached 1/2 empty. If you are up on old mission during meal time, stop by and save the hassle of finding a place in the city.

Entered the Old Mission Tavern expecting just that a tavern. Inside we found a upper scale dinning establishment and a art gallery. Not what we expected or what we were looking for but ended up a good experience. The food was excellent. The smoked whitefish was very good and served on a very large platter. Easily a lunch for two... More

We were looking for a nice dinner option. We consulted the West Bay staff for suggestions and the Old Mission Tavern was one of them. This is a small quaint place. Dinner was fabulous. Prime rib is excellent. My daughter had the sea food Alfredo pasta and loved it. Burgers are huge. Highly recommend to anyone and will keep this... More

Although this restaurant has no real lake views, it is nicely located in the fields and cherry trees of the upper Mission Peninsula- the service was great, friendly professional and helpful- white tablecloth and linens, good local and international wine list and great options on menu for fish, meats and pasta- we were tempted to try several but we could... I really enjoy going to this place because I can wander around and look at the art while I am waiting for the meal to arrive. I've dined here with friends on a number of occasions, and the service is always good, and the food is always yummy.

Our waiter took very good care of us and the whitefish sandwich was excellent. They also have a very impressive amount of art work for viewing which is also for sale.

My husband & I enjoyed this quaint place that also has an art gallery in the back room. Our server Chris was exceptional from menu choices to tips on area sights. I would highly recommend this restaurant

Tucked away 10 miles north on Old Mission Point between East Bay and West Bay, this is the nicest restaurant around. Look for the 2 daily specials which were a fish dish and a beef dish....as these provided the most value. Whitefish is the local fish. The whitefish provencal was well prepared in a large portion. Surprising as this filled... More
