Old Mission Tavern is one of my favorite eateries in the area. Have never been disappointed by the food or the service, since it has always been good. We especially like the Sunday chicken dinners. I have never had such tasty chicken. Better get there early as they sell out fast. All other entrees are just as good.

Wonderful restaurant!! My husband and I both ordered the daily special, blackened whitefish over linguine. It was amazing!! Also had a cup of the best clam chowder I have ever had. Cant wait to visit again!

Stopped here for lunch on a trip up the Old Mission Peninsula for the day and we were not disappointed. Ordered the lunch special of a gourmet pizza on flatbread with chicken and artichoke hearts, and the only complaint was that it was served cold. Staff were very concerned and made great effort to make sure the food was returned... More

This is the best place we have been in the Traverse City area. The service, atmosphere and food were all very good. We had the Walleye and it was very fresh and tasty.

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had in Traverse City area. The food was so disappointing; lack of flavor. Mashed potatoes that were uneatable, caramelized unions had no caramelization, steak lacked flavor. I eat at this restaurant one time last month. I'll never go back.

After a day of wine tasting on Old Mission Peninsula a fine meal in this quaint restaurant was a fitting end. The older crowd dining here shows that they offer good Northern Michigan food at a good value. Take some time to view the art offered by local artist.

The tavern is unassuming and a bit out of the way. But don't be fooled by its demeanor and don't fail to eat at this place which lies an easy 20 minutes drive up the Old Mission Peninsula from Traverse City. I almost didn't and would have missed out on my favorite evening of my trip. I was very surprised... More

Worth a stop for a spot of lunch, interesting gallery, food quality for the price excellent, nice choice on the menu that would satisfy most tastes, maybe next time in the area perhaps I would try the evening to visit & see what the local scene is like.

We were staying at a bed & breakfast and the hostess recommended the Old Mission Tavern. It seemed very far out in the country as we were driving there and we were beginning to be apprehensive. Then we walked in and saw the white tablecloths. The waitress assured us that we were in for a treat---and we were. The wine... More
