I had a burger with pepper jack, grilled onions, jalapeño, and bacon.....delicious. The only improvement needed would be a grilled or toasted bun, the bun was chilly! I am a French fry connoisseur and they did not come close to being a great French fry. The fries were thin and small and overcooked....disappointing.

The black bean burger was good. I added jalepeno to it. My husband got the olive burger on pretzel bread and that was great. We both had the sweet potato fries which were also good.

Slabtown celebrates the history of this attractive corner of Traverse City as a once-poor area where people made homes out of lumber offcuts, or slabs. There are photos of life in the old days round the walls. A popular place for burgers and fries, and their milk shake are particularly good - try the chocolate malt. Eat in or take... More

We wanted take out food and called in a order for hamburgers and hot dogs and their fresh fries. They also have table and chairs to eat in. Fries were out of this world, as were the hamburgers and hot dogs. Went back again another day to get more food. Prices very reasonable and service excellent.

This is a great place to get a real burger and fries. It does not pretend to be anything more than it is, just good basic food.

In five days, we went there twice! The TC burger with cherries was so yummy, it had to be done again. Shocking, I know, but true!

Had two "slabtown specials" with fries for the wife and I. Delicious. Fries were on the verge of overdone, but still good. Always a welcome lunch/dinner stop when we're in Traverse City.

We had two Oliver Burgers...one was on their pretzel bun. Great taste..no grease. The fries are hand cut and very good. I added a chocolate shake and it, too, was fantastic. If you want a quick, great taking meal with friendly staff..Slabtown then beats the heck out of any chain restaurant.

This is one is the best burgers I have had in recent memory. Chocolate shake and fresh cut fries make it. Get the olive burger!
