Slabtown has everything from soup to burgers that are served in brown paper bags. They serve Northwoods sodas, a Traverse City treat, especially the root beer. The food is great. It's located in an old house on the west side of TC; which is west of Division St. in what use to be called Slab Town... read more

Slabtown is over rated. Was much better when it first opened. Loads of people disagree with this as it's packed at lunch time In The summer. Parking is aweful. Sometimes you have to go around the block 5-6 times. It's a order-and-sit down kinda place. Fast service... Ok food. Not pricy!

Our family stopped in and had a great lunch. Burgers were good and sweet potato fries were great - as were the tater tots! Pretty good prices, $4.50 for a kids meal that included good portions and a beverage. I liked that you could buy your burger ale cart. This is in an old home so there is very limited... More

We stopped here on New Year's Eve. We chose it because of the ratings and the fact that it offered gluten free buns. It is in a house, with limited indoor seating. Would probably be a fun place in the summer when you could eat outside. We won't be going back. Cons: Greasy place, not the cleanest, small burgers, upcharge... More

Stopped here for a quick bite and loved it! I got the rodeo and my husband got the sweet Lincoln. The burgers arrived fast and they were really great- messy and greasy but didn't leave me feeling ill afterwards like some burgers do. We will definitely stop there again before we leave TC!

I've personally enjoyed eating both an Olive Burger and a Mushroom Burger. Easily the best burgers I've had in years. The fries are tasty too. Located in a home in the Slabtown section of TC, Slabtown Burgers is a bigger lover's Nirvana.

We've been here 10 years and decided to try Slabtown just this fall. Twice we've picked up burgers & fries to enjoy at home. Absolutely fabulous! Slabtown is now our favorite burger in town to take home. Thank you.

Slabtown tends to be a warm weather favorite, since we enjoy dining outside. Both my wife and I have had several of their burger, and have enjoyed them all. The food is served in brown paper bags and wrapped in wax paper, but each table has a roll of paper towel for you! Forget your diet for a day and... More

Burger was of good quality and size. Fries were not overdone and seasoned just right. Prices seemed within reason

My husband and I stopped here for dinner after an eye doctor appointment. It was the best food I've ever had in TC!! My burger was amazing as well as my chili cheese fries. My husband had a great burger and the most delicious white chicken chili I've ever had! You will not be disappointed! The locally made sodas were... More
