We stopped in after a tour of the State Hospital. I grabbed a loaf of the parmesan olive bread. It was fantastic. Crusty and delicious plain, toasted, and grilled. I tried it all three ways. Good bread and butter is such a treat!

I had the best bread (parmesan olive bread) and scone (white chocolate apricot) ever during my recent visit to Pleasanton. My highest recommendation! Not only was the scone tasty, it was huge. Don't miss this quaint place on the grounds of Grand Traverse Commons.

We go hiking on the Grand Traverse commons and always stop at pleasanton bakery for a treat after. Great coffee, great cookies, great bread and plenty of tarts, cakes and such to choose from. Sharing with friends, we discovered they make pizza too. On the list for the next trip :-)

They have the main Bakery in the Grand Traverse Commons and a small storefront in downtown. The ginger molasses cookie was killer, chewy and warm with spices. The flourless chocolate cake is melt in your mouth sweetness (definitely should be eaten the day you buy it). The crostini are more breadsticks than crostini but there was sweet (dried cranberry and... More

Pleasanton Brick Oven Bakery looks like it's located in an old fire house. So cute! Step inside and you will see the broad selection of freshly baked bread, focaccia, cookies, and other types of sweets. They also have a brick oven for baking pizza, which was very appealing. We ordered a couple of loaves of bread to take home. Very... More

We are very pleased that Pleasanton Bakery is now on Union Street a short walk from our residence, A great place to stop for breakfast rolls and breads. We particularly like the Croissants filled with Ham and Cheese which make a nice light casual meal when teamed with a salad. And they are open every day in the summer –... More

Wonderful assortment of bread, pastries, and other sweet treats. Tried an oatmeal chocolate cookie and a pear tart. Both were melt in your mouth good. Not too sweet and perfectly baked.

The Pleasanton Brick Oven Bakery has now opened its new outlet for its bread and baked goods, Pleasanton Cafe, at 118 South Union Street, Traverse City. You don't get the delicious brick-oven smell, as everything is baked at their other location and delivered here each day, but you get friendly service and the same good bread and pastries. There's a... More

Let's be clear - this isn't a restaurant, though they have plans to open a place on Union Street, just north of the post office. It's a bakery where they make their own artisan bread, delicious pastries and, some weekday evenings, pizza. So it's a take-out. When Pleasanton first opened, although the bread was good, it was a bit too... More
