Best in TC!

Small but busy restaurant with great food! We opted for the degustation with wine which didnt disappoint. The rabbit was amazing, though the final dessert course was the standout. Would definitely return.

This place is so good, if you haven't planned ahead at least a little bit you're going to miss something wonderful. It's a splurge but you get good value for the money; well prepared, imaginative, beautiful dishes. Dedicated staff make the experience a pleasure.

This small intimate fine dining establishment is hard to get a reservation at unless you plan in advance. Located in an old cottage near Front St in downtown Traverse City, the room is comfortable and spare, with marble topped tables, like small cafes in France, New Orleans, or the Village in NY. Food is outstanding, using locally sourced ingredients. This... More

our table was not ready so we stood outside and chatted with Chef Eric. He brought us some bubbly to ease our delay. We have eaten here since they opened in 08 but this is my first review. Food is excellent--last night hay-smoked whitefish [2], flatiron steak, and a custom veg meal with lots of great mushrooms. Great drinks, my... More

This was Round 2 of my foodie adventure in Traverse City. Following an outstanding meal at Stella Trattoria, I solicited the recommendation of my server there, who suggested The Cooks House.. I managed to secure the last empty seat without a reservation. I was certainly not disappointed. This was an excellent seven course prix fixe dinner featuring smoked walleye as... More

Loved this place. The food was excellent with a new twist on each offering. They have a huge cocktail and wine selection. The manager here is one of the best and he and his staff made a difference in the entire experience. Too full for dessert but they give you a wonderful combination of mini treat which included a wonderful... More

My husband and I celebrated our 61st anniversary last evening and enjoyed a truly fine dining experience here. We had the 5 course tasting dinner with wine, it was one of the best meals we've had. The food was superb and the service impeccable. We'll definitely be returning. If I had a complaint it would be that the seating wasn't... More

This restaurant was one of the favorites I've been to. The space is quaint and personal. We went in without reservations bu the chef quickly got on the phone to see if a couple with a reservation was coming. To our luck they canceled and we were able to dine there. We sat next to the open style kitchen where... More
