It's really small so you sort of have to plan to go here. It's a special place and TC's closest thing to "fine dining". Like above all other places, I would actually make sure I wore something nice although nobody would care really. It's kind of pricey but the food is worth it. The chef is very passionate about his... From start to finish, dining at The Cooks House is an exquisite experience. The charming little house has just 10 or so tables and you need to make reservations far in advance. This was our second visit and both times left knowing we would return on our next visit to Traverse City. We again opted for the 7-course tasting menu... More

Interesting small restaurant. Very good and interesting selection items on the menu. Good wine list. A bit busy, but not too noisy. A charming spot.

I'll start by saying that I am a Chef/Owner of a restaurant that enjoys a 5 star rating on tripadvisor and my wife and I at our heart are foodies, I do not leave negative reviews because I know that would feel to a chef. If its not great I don't leave a review. The Cooks House is the most... More

Eric Patterson and Jennifer Blakeslee have created an exceptional restaurant in Traverse City, Michigan. By focusing on local ingredients, their customers are privy to Michigan's finest bounty served in amazingly creative ways. They feature the season's best offerings and then they pair those offerings with the best local wines. This is what we live for. It's so nice to enjoy... More

Very small and cozy with truly warm service. Nice wine list and has many MI wines…could use a few more white options…Oregon or Washington State?? Im sure the tasting menu is grand if you up for that. We split an appetizer with duck and fiddlehead ferns that were cooked perfectly. We had entrees of whitefish…delicate and perfectly seasoned and a... More

We looked forward to dining at Cooks House. We came away disappointed. The service was slow from the wait staff. The sommelier was stuffy. The pork belly was not good (and we love pork belly). We both ordered it and it was tough. The meal was not inexpensive and we both felt the value was lacking. We won't be going... More

We've eaten here in the past two years and again last night. We had the 7 course tastingThe food is well Prepared and presented. If you are use to high quality farm to table and Michelin starred restaurants you will not want to miss this superb place. It is very reasonable as well, considering the quality and attention to detail... More

It seems as though they thought they could fix their food by adding too much oil, butter, or sauce to everything. The parfait dessert was frozen solid meaning they made it days ago and froze it or bought it frozen. Either way it was inedible. Overpriced and underwhelmed.
