Good food

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and was very pleased. It was more than I could eat and delicious! My only real complaint would be the back door that was open with no screen. The flies all seemed to come to my table. I will eat there again when I drive through to visit my daughter.

Visiting the fine Vickers theater to see the movie AMY we wanted to dine nearby afterwards and found the bistro online. There were some good reviews and I wanted to be able to give them a good review too. I like to support local businesses. On the main street it has a quaint dining room and an outdoor patio. The... We have been here many times and always find the food super delicious: the chicken pot pie,, pot roast, Caesar salad, French onion soup, Eggs Florentine, veggie burger, tomato basil soup, etc. The grilled cheese is the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is lovely - comfortable and cozy, especially in winter with the little fireplace. I would love to... More

My husband had been to the bistro a few years ago and has been wanting to take me. We were passing through town so decided to stop for a late lunch. The sandwiches were good but the french fries were great; some of the best ever. The service was good, too. Usually I give any french fries to my husband... More

First time visit but wont be my last. The place has a nice atmosphere and on a Sunday evening, it was pretty quiet which was nice. We had a great veggie minestrone soup and great French onion soup with very fresh, tasty salads. The service was a little rude, not sure why because it was not very busy. Maybe next... More

Being hungry in late afternoon in Three Oaks is akin to being between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Thus we felt somewhat relieved when we saw the lighted "OPEN" sign in the window of the Elm Street Bistro. So, we decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we found the place looking like a run of the... More

I had fish and chips which were absolutely atrocious. So overbreaded it was ridiculous and when I removed a portion of the breading....tasteless fish. My wife's turkey burger was nearly inedible. And the wine...yuk! Do not go here.

If you are in town... be sure to stop in and try their Pot Roast with real mashed Potatoes, and fresh veggies. Also a favorite is the Chicken Pot Pie, It is made fresh daily in house, it is served with a wonderful (larger than average) house salad and house balsamic dressing. This is a local gem, the staff is... More

This is the restaurant where we usually have dinner following a movie at The Vickers Theatre. The restaurant is small and intimate. It can be very noisy if it's packed - which it can be on a Saturday night in summer. The food is yummy and interesting. We've enjoyed all the fish dishes on previous visits. This time we tried... With a wider variety than some other restaurants in town, the Elm Street Bistro is definitely one of my top spots for lunch. Good sandwiches and soups are always available and at a good price.
