Local charm and great food

This is the restaurant where we usually have dinner following a movie at The Vickers Theatre. The restaurant is small and intimate. It can be very noisy if it's packed - which it can be on a Saturday night in summer. The food is yummy and interesting. We've enjoyed all the fish dishes on... read more

With a wider variety than some other restaurants in town, the Elm Street Bistro is definitely one of my top spots for lunch. Good sandwiches and soups are always available and at a good price.

I was staying at a local B & B holed up in my room writing a book. I left once a day to get food. The first night I thought I would try Elm Street Bistro for takeout. The lady on the phone was extremely pleasant and recommended the pumpkin roll as a dessert. I took her advice and boy... More

We went for our first breakfast here. Long wait for coffee, long wait for breakfast. Food was good. Waitress could be more pleasant. Will try out more breakfast places down the road next time.

Try the mussels and the wedge salad. Get extra bread for the broth. My wife had the pot roast and claimed it to be the best she's ever had. Their selection of wines is impressive, too.

I'm a regular who dines at Elm Street Bistro several times a week. We love it! The small menu offers something for everyone and all entrees are done well. I've had most all breakfast, sandwiches and dinner entrees. Steak Frites when medium rare with the most crisp frites is my stand-by dinner. The new Bourbon Glazed Pork Chops are tender,... More

We had dinner here before the 9p show at the theatre. It was delicious and all of the ingredients tasted so fresh! i had the turkey burger with a great salad, fruit and a glass of wine (which was more than enough food!) and my husband had the pork loin with the cider. everything was wonderful! the server was very... We happened upon this restaurant while vacationing in nearby New Buffalo Michigan. We didn't realize that the restaurant we intended to go to for lunch closed at 1. We decided to check out the bistro. My husband and I were glad we did. We both had the pot roast sandwich with grilled veggies and rosemary potatoes. The atmosphere was nice, the... More

We were seeing a movie at the Vicker's at 9 pm and tried this newer place. It was packed - a good sign. We took a seat at the bar and ate there, happy accident as we had great conversation with two different local folks who cycled through. They have a great bar and have hard cider on tap -... More

We arrived here recently on a Saturday afternoon for dinner. Although it was only 4:00 and dinner was not served until 5:00 we had a seat at the bar and enjoyed a drink and chatted with the owner. Once seated, we had a delicious meal . . . two in our party had the steak fritte, (very good), one had... More
