Nice lodging and really good food

Stayed here 3 times in the last couple years as our son is boarding next to this place Rooms are nice and typically English styled and food is delicious, really top end. We had dinner once here and I still remember that, also because a bit pricy… Also breakfast is remarkable

We spent New Years Eve at the Baskerville where we had a fabulous 4 course meal. On arrival we had a glass of champagne and canapés in the bar, before being shown through to the restaurant , I opted for the parsnip soup with warm crusty bread, perfect on a cold winters night, then champagne sorbet followed by Beef Wellington... We had a fabulous meal here on Christmas Eve served by very helpful staff. This was followed by all the villagers gathering to sing carols creating a fabulous village feeling. What a fabulous village pub with excellent food, wine, service and atmosphere. Thank you. We would strongly recommend a visit!

We had lunch here at the weekend with a few friends. The food, wine and service were great. It was a little pricey but then it is never a cheap venue as the wine list is too interesting. It has a real buzz on a Sunday. Always worth a visit as you get what you pay for

Nice walk from Henley along riverbank (40mins), warm fire and chunky chips when arriving and saw the winning point of the Davis Cup. Jumped on train (station 2 mins away) back to Henley.

The reason I personally rate the Baskerville so highly is that you can have a great pint of real ale from Loddon or Rebellion, our local breweries, and combine it with very good food. The welcome from Kevin and his team is first rate. The ambience in the Baskerville is very friendly and you will feel at home whether you... More

Met son and family here for lunch this week; never been there before but in the right place and in Good Pub Guide; cannot praise too highly; very friendly staff team; food interesting and tasty; interesting wine list including a white Burgundy at a very good price; of that we did not live 70 miles away

We had walked along the Thames Path and had booked here for lunch. We had our dogs with us and from the moment of arrival, we were greeted and served with a smile. The manager showed us to our table and the food was fabulous. From huge crunchy yorkshire puddings and roasts to simple lemon sole or salmon, to the... More
