A group of 7 of us went to The Baskerville for an evening meal. The place has a short-ish menu covering meat, fish and vegetarian, all well described. We had starters and mains - all of which were of a good size, well cooked and presented. Service is slightly slow, but everything is prepared from fresh, so this is only... More

We stopped in at the Baskerville today looking for a light snack and a mid-afternoon drink. The menu was a set lunch menu, but the staff were extremely accommodating, allowing us to split the lunch between the two of us. The garden patio area is beautiful, and the sunshine certainly added to the day. We ordered a hamburger and a... More

My partner and I went to the Baskerville for a relatively late 8:30/9 meal on a Monday night. Although it was quiet, it did not put us off - (we usually like a bit of atmosphere). Soft music was playing and the evening was delightful. Service from a blonde girl ( I believe her name is Hannah ) was great,... More

We were looking for a restaurant half way between East Sussex and Cheltenham and one with a station from London. We couldn't have chosen better. We had a warm welcome from the owner from booking until departure. The weather was beautiful so we were seated in the garden in comfortable wooden armchairs and table. The food was excellent. Good and... More

I stopped into the Baskerville Arms for a meal after work a few weeks ago and couldnt decide what to eat from the tempting selection of dishes on the menu. I was recommended a Lamb dish which was cooked to perfection with a good side helping of potatoes. The atmopshere here is great and it really seems although the owner... More

Me and my dad came from Holland to stay at the Baskerville for 2 days. Had a great time. The room was beautiful with a nice view of the beer garden. Good old fashioned proper pub. You can never go wrong here - whether its for a drink, or food (or both!), or sitting in the garden in the sunshine sipping an ice cold glass of white wine, or warming your toes by the fire supping a hearty glass of red the winter. Staff are very friendly and courteous, and the... More

A lovely little pub with modern, comfortable clean accommodation. We got a very warm welcome on arrival, had a pint, watched some World cup footie in the bar before sitting down to a very tasty , nicely cooked meal. Our waitress was charming and very efficient. A Great value little place.

Arrived to have lunch on Saturday bar staff very nice ordered drinks and picked up menu. We had dogs with us and so sat in the bar but was ordering from main menu. When had placed our order was told there would be a delay as people who had pre booked would be given priority. Fine, except they had not... More

We do not treat any customers as second class. Even the most cursory of glances at our reviews would indicate that we are renowned for our customer service. This lady and her companion arrived without a booking on the Saturday of Henley Royal Regatta, a day when we had over 140 covers. Although it may not have been readily apparent... More
