Martha's is an absolute gem. A fine, elective menu made with local ingredients the the extent possible, with a comfortable, at home feel, and reasonable pricing. Our starters of eggplant fries (lightly dusted in rice flower, dredged in buttermilk and panfried), prosciutto with salad, and their signature scallop chowder were all outstanding with the fries being really special. The main... More

After an day of wine tasting with food pairings, we wanted something lighter for dinner. While I was tempted by the menu, I opted for the Soup Du Jour and the crab cakes. The soup was a butternut squash bisque, that was very flavorful and rich. It had home made croutons that really accentuated the flavors in the soup. The... More

We visited Martha's on Labor Day and it was fantastic. We wanted to try different tastes than from 2 years ago but the chicken salad had to be a repeat and it was awesome. A Cherry Chicken salad with dried Michigan cherries, pecans, celery and tarragon served on a bed of fresh mixed greens. The tastes were perfectly melded together... More

Took advice of local when asking about good place for whitefish. Called ahead for reservation - greeted at door and friendly hello set tone for wonderful evening. I ordered daily pre-fixed meal of soup, whitefish and dessert. Husband ordered scallop chowder and crab cakes. Both meals were marvelous. White beet bisque was tasty surprise, roasted vegetables were perfectly cooked and... More

Went here Wednesday evening without a reservation and we were promptly seated. The fried green tomato appetizer was good and the scallop chowder and tomato bisque were also flavorful. I thought the breading on the whitefish was a little too thick but the fish itself was good. We enjoyed the live music and the overall dinner and service were good

Stopped here for our lunch on our way from Traverse City to Frankfort via M22 (the scenic route). It was cold and drizzly, but Martha's did not disappoint. This was our first place for lunch since we'd never been to Suttons Bay, and are we ever glad we did! Delicious sandwiches on toasted cherry bread followed by some wonderful pastries... More

When the weather is warm the music outside is superb, Keyboard, Bass, guitars and singing. Locals only play on Wednesday but are playing great music, not rap, etc. The food and service is above expectations.

I went for lunch this past Saturday. I waited for approximately 10 minutes to have my order taken and then waited for another half hour for the food. It was a simple sandwich and should not take that long. In addition, the food is very mediocre. Not worth the trouble. I would have rather saved some time and money and... More

Dear "terrible service" , Thanks for your thoughtful review. I'm sorry that the service wasn't fast enough and the food wasn't up to standards. We've been open for 6 years and are continually striving to improve our service and our menu. I am responsible for both. try us again some time, if this was your first time to Martha's. Labor... This was our first visit to Martha's Table. We had heard about the restaurant before but this was our first opportunity to visit . It reminded me of a French Bistro. Our waitress was welcoming and the food was good. Three of us chose the whitefish and petit filet selection and both items were well prepared. We were a little... More
