The Land of Delight is the best!!!

This was my second trip to Martha's and it was even better than I remembered. First of all, the atmosphere is so quaint and cozy and the staff is so nice. Second, the Land of Delight sandwich is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I want to eat one every single day! The coffee was also strong... read more

"This is the best sandwich I ever had." And the look on my wife's face and the constant "Mmmmm" proved that she was telling the truth. She had the Land of Delight sandwich (the 1/2 sandwich with a cup of soup). It was incredible. We had a quiet lunch as she ate the sandwich. I had soup and salad. The... More

Don't miss this stop for a fabulous meal. You can sit outside in the garden and you will be served the best food. Small place but worth the stop.

Everything was excellent about this experience. From the easy reservation using URESERV to the attentive, friendly and helpful server, to the friendly owner, to the local foods highlighted in the menu, to the quality of the wine selection, to the actual preparation and taste of the food, to the table-side visit with the chefs - it was top notch and... We are never disappointed with our dinners at Martha's. Especially love the outdoor dining in the summer when Martha has musicians during the evening dinner hour. Service is always A+ and the food is always served with perfection. Oftentimes we take the recommendation of the server. Love this gem in Suttons Bay !

Excellent food and service, for a price. We usually go for Sunday Brunch, which we love. It's in an old house and can be kind of cold in the winter, so bring a sweater. Bottom line, we go a few times per year, and really like it

Martha's Table is a tiny little restaurant right on the main drag in Sutton's Bay. The building looks like, and I guess was, a residence. There are just a handful of tables--I think your odds of eating here in season without a reservation would be poor. The menu is short, but very well chosen, including fresh and local foods. Preparation... More

The Traverse City area has many outstanding locally-owned restaurants, but I think the best of all is Martha's. The food is always creative and beautifully executed, using mainly local ingredients (though the crab cakes are also outstanding, even though I don't think there are crabs in the Great Lakes!) My wife and I have eaten at Martha's about a half... More

Breakfast is always a treat from the regular menu but on this occasion I had the special: hanger steak with potatoes, eggs, and toast. My steak was seared on the outside and perfectly medium rare inside as ordered, The chef came out to ask if everything was as I wanted it (it was). On the wall by my table was... More

We celebrated a birthday here and had a wonderful experience! Very personal experience (Chef/Owner Martha checks on you several times during the evening), good service, and amazing food! Everything is very fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully served. Great place to visit off-season!
