Upscale with upscale prices

Excellent food and service, for a price. We usually go for Sunday Brunch, which we love. It's in an old house and can be kind of cold in the winter, so bring a sweater. Bottom line, we go a few times per year, and really like it

Martha's Table is a tiny little restaurant right on the main drag in Sutton's Bay. The building looks like, and I guess was, a residence. There are just a handful of tables--I think your odds of eating here in season without a reservation would be poor. The menu is short, but very well chosen, including fresh and local foods. Preparation... More

The Traverse City area has many outstanding locally-owned restaurants, but I think the best of all is Martha's. The food is always creative and beautifully executed, using mainly local ingredients (though the crab cakes are also outstanding, even though I don't think there are crabs in the Great Lakes!) My wife and I have eaten at Martha's about a half... More

Breakfast is always a treat from the regular menu but on this occasion I had the special: hanger steak with potatoes, eggs, and toast. My steak was seared on the outside and perfectly medium rare inside as ordered, The chef came out to ask if everything was as I wanted it (it was). On the wall by my table was... More

We celebrated a birthday here and had a wonderful experience! Very personal experience (Chef/Owner Martha checks on you several times during the evening), good service, and amazing food! Everything is very fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully served. Great place to visit off-season!

A very nice atmosphere were your food comes with so much love and attention. Maratha's staff are all super people and very friendly. If you get there between 5pm and 6pm. she has a special that can't be beat. We were here for Valentines Day dinner 2015 and it couldn't have been better.

My quest is to find the best meals possible for vegetarians, especially at restaurants who cater to all diets. Like accessible travel, its best to leave no one behind and being a vegetarian for the past 22 years I realized that many of my fellow vegetarians are represented poorly. So, let’s continue our search in beautiful Leelanau County Michigan. Martha's... More

If you enjoy imaginative but simple tasty fare, go straight to Martha's during a day wandering the many shops and fine beach on Traverse Bay. It is the polar opposite of a sports bar. Located on the first floor of a quaint older home, you'll witness the well thought out decor, attentive staff and soothing music that is not too... More

We had dinner at Martha’s Leelanau Table while staying in Northern Michigan this past October. The restaurant is in a converted house with limited seating and limited menu. However limited, the choices were still good enough to make it hard to decide. The atmosphere and service was very good. Overall an unexpected find in a small Michigan town.
