Visited the Village Baker with my family while visiting my parents and was pleasantly surprised! We have several places like this back home, but I never expected it in Spring Lake! The food was very good, fresh ingredients and skilled artistry showed in every bite. From the creamy quiche to the fluffy Belgian waffles, everything we had was delectable. I... More

Four of us went for breakfast. So many tasty options, it was difficult to decide what to order. Decided to get the French toast as an appetizer to share :) Then, ordered the quiche - tasty & packed with veggies. Another ordered the biscuits & gravy -- said it was one of the best he's ever had. Others split the... More

Being local, have probably been here 100+ times, yet each time, with few exceptions, feel like a stranger. Maybe there's been too much staff turnover, maybe there is a training need, or maybe they just don't care. Shouldn't there be a greeting of sorts? Even, if necessary, faking that you recognize a customer that patronizes at least once or twice... More

Very good section oh homemade food from the breads to the desserts! I especially like the quiche with the aioli sauce. And you get to savor a piece of dessert with your order. Great place to meet the SL village people!

Last Saturday was a little misty, but two friends & I wanted to hike. We picked up an assortment of scones, muffins and one (yes, only one!) cinnamon roll & headed to coast guard park (one of the area's best kept secrets) where we hiked the mile through the woods to a relatively challenging staircase only to reward ourselves with... We found this gem while visiting in Grand Haven, it is a very short drive (10 min.) and was worth the little effort to get to. The menu is unique and the sandwiches we great and served with a slice of fruit, chips and a dessert bar. The pretzels are the very best, we stopped back on our way home... More

First time visit, specialty pizza, artichoke and mushroom for lady, regular toppings for me. Could taste the freshness of high quality toppings. Hot chocolate with choice flavored syrups and coffee high taste level. Highest service level also!
