Nice cafe/bakery/restaurant. I'd say it has a limited menu, but what they do serve is good. ie...different versions of fried egg sandwiches for breakfast, crepes, french toast or waffles. Lunch is mostly soups, stews, sandwiches and salads and dinner is different varieties of Pizza.

The stuffed French toast was truly amazing as well as the egg breakfast sandwich. My children had the waffles and oatmeal which they truly enjoyed. The atmosphere was unique and charming. A must try, we will be back.

We stopped here on a Sunday drive from Grand Rapids to enjoy the beautiful fall weather in our convertible. It was our lunch destination. I ordered from the build your own sandwich menu which came with a bag of chips (made in MI) as well as a piece of a cookie type bar for dessert. You can choose, type of... More

Enjoyed lunch on the outdoor patio. Had a fresh chicken salad which was quite tasty. Great service too! Quite a variety of sandwiches I'll have to return to try.

Visited the Village Baker with my family while visiting my parents and was pleasantly surprised! We have several places like this back home, but I never expected it in Spring Lake! The food was very good, fresh ingredients and skilled artistry showed in every bite. From the creamy quiche to the fluffy Belgian waffles, everything we had was delectable. I... More

Four of us went for breakfast. So many tasty options, it was difficult to decide what to order. Decided to get the French toast as an appetizer to share :) Then, ordered the quiche - tasty & packed with veggies. Another ordered the biscuits & gravy -- said it was one of the best he's ever had. Others split the... More

Being local, have probably been here 100+ times, yet each time, with few exceptions, feel like a stranger. Maybe there's been too much staff turnover, maybe there is a training need, or maybe they just don't care. Shouldn't there be a greeting of sorts? Even, if necessary, faking that you recognize a customer that patronizes at least once or twice... More
