Great Sandwiches packed with a lot of great quality meat.

I've been doing to Star Deli for lunch for years. There a large selection of sandwiches and meats. You can customize your sandwiches as well. The staff is very friendly, the owner is a great people person! You can call ahead and pick up your sandwich(es) if you're in a hurry. Get New York... read more

We are fortunate to have some great New York style Jewish delicatessens in our area, and the Star is one of them. If you are on the go and don't need table service, the Star has corned beef sandwiches as good as anywhere. Including New York city. OK, I admit, I have been coming here now and then for decades,... I've eaten corned beef all my life. I ate a corned beef sandwich on rye with cole slaw and thousand island dressing from the Star Deli last week. It was wonderful! I asked for their most popular sandwich and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The corned beef was very tasty, thin cut, not fatty and piled high. The rye was also... More

For a little taste of NYC deli atmosphere, brush into the Star Deli. Order something quick before somebody pushes you outta the way! And don't think you can sit down; what kinda place do you think this is? I recommend the right sandwich here, when you are in the right frame of mind. Otherwise, well, stop blocking the door!

Star still has the best Corned beef, They used to be better. Look for a Deli that cooks there own & uses "Vienna Beef products"...! Only a few left in the "D" area. Anyone who mans the slicer should no what there doing. Not many of them left...Some/Most had either worked with, for or had been trained by my Father,... More

I was delighted to find Star Delicatessen. This is still a real deli! I had a wonderful sandwich of rye bread, cole slaw, russian dressing, swiss cheese, lettuce, pepper, and tomato. (If I could have another it would have onion instead to the tomato.) With this "sandwich" I had a slice of old pickle. Bought new and old pickles for... More

This is the best corned beef sandwich you'll get! Homemade Jewish rye, fresh cole slaw, cheese....yum! You can have your sandwich made to order or buy your meats and cheeses to take home. They also have sides for purchase like any deli, salad and such. They also have Hallava, cold drinks, a variety if Chios and such. Again, just a... More

We were heading out to the lake for a sail and decided to try this little hole in the wall for some take out sandwiches. The corn beef and pastrami were delicious. Loved the onion rolls. Counter service was fast and efficient. Food was great. Definitely recommend.

I'm originally from the area and grew up on deli food. I now live in Chicago and have done so for the past 20+ years and in all that time have never found a deli to match those in Michigan. I don't know if it's the water but you cannot compare the corned beef in Michigan to what I get... More

Smoked Turkey, Corned Beef, Pickled Tomatoes, Rye Bread! Coleslaw and Potato Salads were FANTASTIC! We liked the Corned Beef the best. The salami was a hit with the kids. The Russian Dressing reminded me of my Grandmother's from the Lower East side of New York CIty when I was a little girl.
