This was our first visit and as my husband said.".We found our new favorite place to eat".From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly wait staff and seated. The restaurant is both cozy and gives you a feel for being in New Orleans.Loved all of the vintage family photos. The corn bread and sweet potato poppers were brought in... Visited my son in Detroit for Father's Day. He previously lived in Southfield and always wanted to try Beans & Cornbread. Tonight we tried it and we were not disappointed, Great Service and the cornbread and gumbo as starters were outstanding. Full of flavor; a must have. Our party of 5 tried several meals and all were very good. The... More

Great Food, Good atmosphere, but a little small. Good location outside of Detroit. Great place to dine for food and drinks.

I say that because Beans and Cornbread has been around for some time and continues to be a very popular restaurant. The place is not a very large... More

Recently, a group of 48 people dined at Beans & Cornbread Restaurant. We reserved the banquet room and it was amazing how we all got in there, but we did, serving station and all! The room is small and is a little outdated. With that being said, that was the only downside and the reason I rated "very good" instead... More

The food is good but not outstanding. It's not greasy like you find at some other soul food restaurants. The worse part is waiting for a table. There's no space for people to wait so you're standing over people eating. The last time I went there were 4-5 empty tables with 4-5 parties waiting. There explanation was the tables were... More
