On the main drag on way to beach and harbor is a little gem of a restaurant called Tello. It's very high end for what's surrounds it, but still casual. Fantastic appetizers, we had asppragus with prosciutto with a 3 minute egg. Seafood linguine was incredible as was stuff veal. Deserts were teramesue or flour less chocolate cake, how can... More

You don't expect food of this quality in a seasonal vacation community! Had the grilled romaine salad w gorgonzola and pancetta - Fantastic! Squid ink linguini with seafood was absolutely terrific - full of unexpected flavors. Waitstaff was engaged and fun! Wouldn't expect this level of competence - flavors were great. Good wine list.

Asparagus, proscuiutto and poached egg appetizer, cioppino, and seafood linquine were all delicious and a nice break from the ubiquitous fried fish and french fries everywhere else.

Felt like a trip to Italy! Food was excellent, we went for the truffle egg and scallops to start with, followed by Whitefish Napoleon and finished off with Tiramisu. The flavor in these dishes were unique and light. The atmosphere is like in a typically Italian restaurant; vibrant but still comfortable and cozy. On a Saturday night it's probably a... More

The drinks were good, the salad was very good and my husband got the special of spicy shrimp pasta and it was awesome, but I do not recommend the Lasagna at all. it has a bad taste of Mexican chorizo to it. Our server never asked how our meal was till my husband was completely finished and I couldn't eat... More

This restaurant, situated on the main street in downtown South Haven, is a good choice for those who like Italian cooking. The food is good, the service is good, the decor is good. Unforttunately, the noise level in this restaurant is somewhat distracting. On the first night of the South Haven annual blueberry festival, the restaurant was packed, as was... More

We went here based on other Trip Advisor reviews. The reviews were dead on - great food but very noisy. The noise level prevented me from giving this restaurant 5 stars. My husband started with a craft beer and I had a gin/prosecco specialty cocktail. My drink was very refreshing. I had the Gemelli ala Puttanesca and my husband had... More

My friends and I stopped at Tello Italian Bistro while visiting South Haven for the day, and were not disappointed! We got there just in time to grab a glass (or 2) of wine at the bar for the happy hour special and, despite the small selection for the special, all found something we were happy with. We each ordered... More

I have to say they were very nice and got our large group in no problem. Scallop app yum and fried calamari actually really good but portion a little small I thought. Entrees were just ok. Don't think any of us were overwhelmed.
