This place used to have a nice atmosphere and very good food. Now the food is mediocre to bad. They removed the best menu items. Remodeled poorly. And service was mixed. With all the great places in town this is one to be avoided now.

The seafood stew was great. Warm and cozy space for a Fall getaway. We really enjoyed it and would go there again.

I ordered the special as did almost everyone in my party. My shrimp came out totally different than the rest. Sent it back and 15 minutes later my whole meal came back after everyone else was finished eating. Not to mention the service was terribly slow for a holiday. I watched people get up and walk out due to no... More

We stopped for a glass of wine and some appetizers on a Friday evening. We ordered the charbroiled oysters (NOLA style) and they came out hot and tasty. I wish we could say the same for the nachos. We specifically asked that the dish be without jalapeño peppers. It arrived with peppers. We immediately reminded our server, and she promised... More

We stopped in on our first night here. We took part in the Bloody Mary bar and also drank a Dark and stormy, both were very good! Our food was great and waitress was really helpful. Very happy with our experience.

My husband and I had visited The Thirsty Perch on previous visits and were very excited to return. Boy were we disappointed. It took several minutes to even get seated although the restaurant was not busy at all. Several minutes later someone came by and poured us water saying our server would be by shortly. 10 minutes later, no server.... More

We stopped at many restaurants in town and we have always had a great meal with friendly wait staff and good service at the Thirsty Perch that has the best Raw Bar. I am a raw bar type of guy. We eat at different places for meals but I ALWAYS even if I'm driving by on the freeway (I196) stop... More

Came to SH on a Saturday afternoon. My sister-in-law and I ordered the Mahi tacos. We were told they were not Mahi, but whitefish. No problem. When they arrived, I knew they were not made with whitefish. The fish was very dark in color and very fishy smelling. After one bite, I knew I could not eat it. Ditto for... More

We were in S.H. for a few days and had dinner here. We had the Perch, Fish Tacos, Shrimp, Oysters and Crab. All was good and came with home made slew. This place was a bowling alley back in the day and the tables were made out of the old lanes. Nice quit place with good service.
