Raw Bar is very good

We stop in town a few times a year we have dinner and I enjoy the raw bar. This trip we only came for the Raw Bar and had dinner later at another location. There is a HAPPY HOUR here before 6. The oysters are $1.50 each and they were very good. If you like raw oysters this is the... read more

Amazing!!! They had me at "Raw Bar" ... need I say more??? I come here every time we visit South Haven. The Raw Bar selection is the best I've seen away from Washington state's Olympic Peninsula on the West Coast (though if you like it "fresh from the sea" like I do, you'll have to salt these little bits of... Never was something to write home about, but quality/quantity have gone down hill, especially for the inflated prices. I'd stick to the appetizers and beer on tap, and get dinner elsewhere, where in tourist-central South Haven, I don't know... $19 for 5 finger sized pieces of fish that took forever. Fish in the fish tacos came raw the first time.

after watching the sunset we thought we would get a late dinner. got there right as the kitchen was going to close. our server seemed happy to help us and made sure everything was ok with our dinner. the food was very good and (obviously) was excellent.

The food is very good. The portions are ample. They were out of several wines which was disappointing. Everyone was happy with their meal selections. The bouillabaisse was a little spicy. This is a good restaurant, just allow extra time to be served your meal.

Just not on the river and no lake view, sad because this could be a real "go to" place. I thinks its more of a locals place which draws in tourists via its catchy (like that pun) name.

My husband and I always eat here when visiting South Haven and we've been coming here once or twice a year for ten years. The perch is excellent as is the delicious cole slaw. We've never been disappointed in either the food or the service and we'll continue in the future every time we visit beautiful South Haven.

We had a nice quiet lunch at the Thirsty Perch. They had a nice selection of craft beer and many nice menu choices. We both had the perch and it was great. The staff was so nice and one of the servers came over to check on us and we had a great conversation with her. She gave us information... More

I was afraid this might be just a bar with food, but it was really good! It was the first time we had eaten yellow perch, but it won't be the last. We both ordered it pan fried and it was fantastic! Buttery and flavorful is the only way I can describe it. It was served with a very good... More

We've been here before. We like the food. The perch was delicious. The burger was also delicious. What was not delicious was the hit or miss service. They seem to have a good staff, but yet they can't seem to get things straight. I ordered a baked potato with butter only. I got no butter. then they finally came by... More
