My contact with Clyde's is getting a strawberry shake while waiting for the ferry to Sugar Island which runs every 15 minutes to cross the St Marys River. Ocean going ships and great lakesfreighters go by within 100 yards of the restaurant. the restaurant is a drive or you can sit inside at the stools. ' bergers and onion rings... More

Not sure if this is still connected to Clydes in St Iggy but the same great burgers etc in that 50's drive-in atmosphere that seems to have vanished in most places, but still works well in these parts. Good food, great service and value. Nice view of the river and passing ships is a bonus.

seasonal drive-in along the river, watch the ferry cross to Sugar Island while you fend off the local seagulls who, i must warn you, will steal the fries right off your tray if you let them. it's commonly known that a french fry tossed into the air at clydes will never hit the ground. but the burgers are amazing, and... Great burgers, great view, & decently priced. Clyde's vs. West Pier is a debate that will continue until the end of time. I give the edge to Clyde's, but everyone in town will have their own opinion on the matter! I went with a double (1/2 pd) with green olives, mayo & lettuce. Burger was a little on the greasy... More

Finally stopped here on way downstate after passing it by for 20+ years. Somehow I never caught the sign! Since we didn't get milkshakes I'm quite sure we didn't take full advantage of everything they have to offer but while waiting for our order, people lined up faithfully for the shakes and floats. The hamburger rivals our favorite local chain... More

Clyde's has good burgers--I like West Pier better, but no complaints about Clyde's. Efficient car hop service, too. Super chocolate malts! The best thing is to get a sandwich, drive over about 50 yards, park, and watch a freighter or two go by. Even if no freighters are around, it is interesting to watch the ferry head to and from... Great old drive-in that still delivers quality food. I had the Big-C burger, fries, and a shake. WAY too much food but every once in awhile I guess it is ok to indulge. Burger is huge and messy, but very tasty. Fries were good and cherry shake was excellent and thick-had to wait for it to melt some before the... More

My family and I come to the Sault Ste Marie area every other weekend from lower Michigan. This is by far, one of the best places in the area to eat! Burgers are GREAT!

Had lunch here after going to the Locks! Fun to sit at the counter and watch the cook staff fix the hamburgers. We saw the same ships pass by the drive-in that we had just seen go thru the locks. I had a cheeseburger and fries and it tasted very good. My husband had a milkshake which he enjoyed. Always... More

This restaurant will take you back. Sit back and enjoy service to your car's window while you watch ships pass by. Our order was taking quickly and the food was out in good time. Our car-side waitress was great! We both ordered the bacon cheeseburger and found it a messy but delicious burger. I had the onion rings and I... More
