A must stop

Great breakfast eatery. Wide variety of muffins and full breakfast fare. If you like french toast, don't miss the "Chicago Style" french toast. It is exquisitely delicious. It melts in your mouth. Nicely priced and attentive wait staff.

Went there for a nice breakfast and was not disappointed. I had the French toast and a muffin and my wife had an omelet. Both were top notch! Beware the place only takes cash and don't be in a rush as the service is kinda slow. But I would recommend!!

I've heard many good things of this location, thought maybe I should venture out and try it myself, the drive long the lake shore is nice and Saugatuck Douglas area is one of best spots, Ida Red's is a small but cozy restaurant, service is good waited a few minutes for seating, a good local food spot and many were... We have been visiting Ida Red's for the scrambles and whole grain pancakes for several years. The breakfast food is really terrific, servers are nice and very efficient once you are seated. The kitchen can get backed up. It is a very small, very popular place in a resort town that has a dearth of breakfast places. A wait of... More

Fantastic breakfast! Charming interior. Servers were very friendly, polite and efficient. I point out the efficient becuse the wait for this place is unbelieavable long if you don't get there early. In fact, my breakfast turned into lunch (arrived at 10 a.m. Sunday, ate at noon) It was worth the wait.

Horrible and insulting staff!!! This is a lengthy review, but please read to the end, I might save your family from patronizing at this kind of establishment. I have been coming to South Haven, Saugatuck, Finnville, etc, for the past 6yrs and I have never had a bad experience until I decided to step foot in this place. Where do... More

The habituees of this site are not above lying, when needed, to shim-up a dubious complaint. This individual is lying when she writes what the police officer said. The police officer pointedly told her that he has never been called to our restaurant. It was her fate to have had this experience. From the way her family reacted to the... More

Waited 20 minutes for a table. Another 45 for food. Food was good if you have an hour and a half for breakfast

Be prepared to wait. Baked goods are delicious. Had steak and eggs and an omelet both were great and really good potatoes.

Entered the building and was not even acknowledged for 10 minutes.....they had open tables and it is September so the "busy tourist town" excuse will not fly here. Two more parties entered behind us receiving the same indifference. It was only after I offered the sign in log to the other couple did we get recognition. We asked if we... More

This Queen left her crown back at the castle, so we didn't know how she expected to be received. Now she's royally miffed, decreeing punishments with the IRS, and her airline. Like Miss "No, No, No, and No" a few reviews previous, we have two words for her, and they're NOT Thank You! More

We eat breakfast here once a year on our annual trip to Saugatuck. There is always a wait (sign in and they'll call your name)...for good reason...look over their diverse menu whole you wait. Everything looks good so you will have the wait time to make your decision. The outside waiting area is pleasant. The eating areas are comfortable. The... More
