I have been to Ida reds at least 5 times for breakfast . Always had to wait for a table but last two times had to wait over an hour from time we ordered til time we were served. I get too little vacation time to spend it waiting for what turned out to be a very average breakfast. You'd... More

Very highly reviewed, which is why we went. After waiting an hour for a table, we waited another hour for our mediocre food. Was it bad food? No. But certainly not worth a wait. Typical scrambles, with spinach etc, but most places drain the liquid. This place doesn't care to. So, you end up with a wet plate. Kind of... More

As others have said, we knew we would have to wait. No problem there. That's expected on a summer Sunday morning. Seated outside which was wonderful, and upon reading the menu we were very excited for what promised to be a unique and fresh breakfast. We waited 10 Minutes for our drinks, an about 30 minutes for our breakfast. That's... More

It was quite a wait (for the table and the food) but the omelets were amazing and it's a cute little place. Would go there again!

Slow but good raps it up! Waited 15 minutes to be seated and another 15 before we had a menu. Food took another 30 so it was an hour ordeal before we ate. Fresh eggs, fresh squeezed OJ, great, but waitresses are bussing tables! They need to hire more help!

Apparently, the owner of this restaurant has no interest in actually serving the customers food(that is why people come to a restaurant, fyi) We waited over an hour and 15 minutes(with 3 children) and only were served drinks. The coffee was so disgustingly weak and they actually ran out of orange juice! We nicely asked the waitress when our food... More

Hmmm. . . Let's see . . . These folks were at a popular restaurant, in a tourist town, at the tail end of the Fourth of July holiday. People with undisciplined kids really ought to go to Burger King. More

Between the atmosphere and the food, you can't beat this place. Charming surroundings, unique and delicious menu items, but long waits accompany this. Even after you are seated, there are delays in getting your menu, getting service, getting your food, and getting the bill. I would highly recommend this place if you are in no hurry to do anything. But... More

Love to come to Ida Red's while visiting Saugatuck. It's not fast food so don't be in a hurry. Small and quaint. Food is good so if you don't want to wait, go early. Love their muffins, fresh, fresh fruit salads. Omelettes looked fantastic. Good coffee and service. Worth it!

For a place that calls itself Ida Red's Cottage and is only open 5 days a week from 8AM to 2PM, you would think that breakfast would be their specialty and it would be damn good. After all, people wait up to an hour for a table. We waited 30 minutes but worse, we waited more than an hour for... More

Our little place is not for everybody, and that's the way we like it. We don't want, or need, customers like this. More
