Apparently, the owner of this restaurant has no interest in actually serving the customers food(that is why people come to a restaurant, fyi) We waited over an hour and 15 minutes(with 3 children) and only were served drinks. The coffee was so disgustingly weak and they actually ran out of orange juice! We nicely asked the waitress when our food... More

Hmmm. . . Let's see . . . These folks were at a popular restaurant, in a tourist town, at the tail end of the Fourth of July holiday. People with undisciplined kids really ought to go to Burger King. More

Between the atmosphere and the food, you can't beat this place. Charming surroundings, unique and delicious menu items, but long waits accompany this. Even after you are seated, there are delays in getting your menu, getting service, getting your food, and getting the bill. I would highly recommend this place if you are in no hurry to do anything. But... More

Love to come to Ida Red's while visiting Saugatuck. It's not fast food so don't be in a hurry. Small and quaint. Food is good so if you don't want to wait, go early. Love their muffins, fresh, fresh fruit salads. Omelettes looked fantastic. Good coffee and service. Worth it!

For a place that calls itself Ida Red's Cottage and is only open 5 days a week from 8AM to 2PM, you would think that breakfast would be their specialty and it would be damn good. After all, people wait up to an hour for a table. We waited 30 minutes but worse, we waited more than an hour for... More

Our little place is not for everybody, and that's the way we like it. We don't want, or need, customers like this. More

What a quaint little restaurant, I loved this place, food was very good and prices not bad. We stayed at an expensive B&B very close by and the breakfast they gave us was so small we went to Ida's for a good breakfast Will definately return

Their scramble and just plain scrambled eggs were top notch. No egg beater used here and lightly done so moist and not dryed out. My daughter had "EggsOden" basically fried eggs ober cheese and onion. Different and very good. Coffee was nice too. Good standard on the food. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. Just allow time... More

This reatuarant is always busy in season. I finally got to stop in yesterday and had a very pleasant experience. The food was fantastic the server was friendly and I got a great value. There's a sign that states no outside beverages are to be brought in. No restaurant wants outside beverage containers reusable or not. They cause undue angst.... More

Very disappointing! I went in for two reasons. First, I wanted to get a menu for the guests at our bed and breakfast; they like to be able to peruse the menu options while looking for a restaurant to dine. Amazingly, all of the other local restaurants were more than happy to oblige. Ida Red said that they couldn't part... More

I have eaten at Ida Red's many times - go for a booth - super cozy! The coffee is great, the French Toast and omelets are super. Look for their special board as you come in. They are not super-duper fast, they really do make your food.
