After all the great reviews I'm sure our visit was a fluke??! First off the food was well prepared and full of flavor, no problems here. My first issue was with the quality of service we received. We were seated at the table to the immediate left of the door next to the bar. The bar was packed and the... More

We thought the food and atmosphere was very nice. This was our first visit there and we will definitely go back.

Had a marvelous dinner at Phil's on a Sunday evening. The special of the night was salmon with smashed potatoes and risotto-it was delicious. Also had the broasted chicken (brought back memories from childhood)-and it was great. We are bar diners and got in before the crowd (6ish) - Jimmy the bartender does a great job and has a wonderful... More

Went their with my wife for lunch after doing some shopping in the neighborhood. I ordered the chicken wings appetizer and was very happy with the quality and portion size. My wife had the fish tacos which she really enjoyed. The environment was not very loud as many reviewers previously have posted. Also the service was fast and friendly which... More

We had the Portabella sandwich, fried chicken, and the chicken pesto sandwich...SO tasty and filling! The potato wedges were properly crisp and yet fluffy inside. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Our new favorite place to eat in Saugatuck.

Nice but not fancy restraunt in the middle of town. Crowded and loud but great food. Not pretentious come as you are. I had the chicken pesto sandwich and it was excellent. My husband had the sirloin special and neither of us left any behind.

Really, really noisy. Could hardly hear what the person sitting next to me was saying. Very long wait (about 45mins) for ok food.

Great food and service! Very good variety of items. The portabello sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I ever had! The atmosphere was enjoyable and the service was very good. We got lucky and got one of the few outdoor seats. Very nice and would definitely return if we are back in the area.

The food is very good and the atmosphere is great. Phil's is located in an old movie theater. The fish sandwiches are superb. I recommend you have lunch early because even on a weekday the restaurant fills up quick. It's a fun place to eat while in Saugatuck.

Enjoyed a mid-week lunch here with the misses and her family, a band of 7 altogether. Arrived at 1215, thankfully there was no wait. By the time we left at 130 the place was packed. On a Wednesday. Food and service were excellent. Had a funky feel to the place, only two TV's so not necessarily a place to enjoy... More
