Friday morning breakfast with my husband and son. Cheerfully greeted by Joe and his wife. The restaurant is quirky with brightly painted walls and shelf after shelf of interesting teapots. Menu is extensive, a little overwhelming and uniquely printed like a newspaper. We asked for recommendations and where very happy with the results. We ordered the Granola Banana Pancakes, Chocolate... More

The breakfasts are amazing. They have the largest variety of pancakes and omelets I have ever seen. The desserts are amazing. No skimping here. We love Java Joe's and go every time we are in St Ignace.

Our family always returns to this awesome little restaurant. The menu has something for everyone. We have tried just about everything over the years; the Reese's pieces pancakes are a favorite, the benedicts are tasty, and I I love the buckwheat crepes! Joe and his wife are always friendly and have great pointers on places to visit in the UP.

Small dining room, big personality. Stopped in with family. Wife had the avocado bagel and liked it, I had the omelet as well as my son and they were good. My daughters had crepes and they were only OK. Over all a great alternative to the buffet at the hotel and much better food.

We actually ate at Java Joe's twice while in St. Ignace - we came in for breakfast both mornings that we stayed. The first time, I was a little overwhelmed at their extensive and rather unusual menu, and played it safe with an omelet (very good, although the eggs were a bit underdone). All day, I berated myself mentally for... More

I've been going to St.Ignace every summer for the last ten years and ALWAYS make sure to eat here. The food, atmosphere, service, and "Java Joe" himself make this a pleasant, relaxing, and enjoyable restaurant. Highly recommend.

We were on a two week vacation in the Midwest and were looking for a place to eat breakfast in Saint Ignace, Michigan. We stopped at Java Joe's Café and had the best breakfast of our trip! The owner was a fountain of information about the area and told us about a place to see - Heritage Trail and the... More

We were here twice for breakfast, and both times it was excellent!! The owner was there both times, he was very friendly and helpful. The place is full of different stuff and it's like some one picked up Jimmy Buffet and dropped him in the middle of St Ignace, we will be returning here on our next trip through

This place has the best pancakes I've ever had. The best part is you can order as a side if you want eggs. Highly recommended the chocolate chip/coconut and granola. We split an omelet and each had a side (1) pancake and split those. The owner is very nice and likes to talk to you. Great atmosphere.

Cute little place that has quite a variety of food and great coffee. have wonderful breakfasts and a key west atmosphere, very unique pitchers all around the in side shelves, that you may purchase. Friendly service, a place you will never forget. WE stop here every time we are at St. Ignace.
