I highly recommend that everyone passing through St. Ignace stop here at least once. We heard rave reviews, but were a little nervous pulling up to the seemingly tiny cafe. The owner instantly greeted us, as if old friends, as he greeted everyone. It was truly the coolest atmosphere. The restaurant was packed end to end with happy customers. The... More

My husband and I had dinner at Java Joe's and then went back with our two babies and my mom the next morning for breakfast before heading home. Both times were great. The coffee was great and the menu is impressive and everything that we ordered between the two meals was great. We will definitely be back!

I saw where Java Joes was getting a bad rap that they are slow. Maybe these were old reviews and something has changed to make the service faster because when my wife and I went they were very quick. We weren't in a hurry that day but even if we had been they definitely met the challenge. Very nice, great... More

We had the best breakfast! My hubby said to definately get the Whitefish Eggs Benedict, my son loved his Oreo Pancakes and my Coconut French toast was so good! The coffee was great too. The staff was fun and friendly. Will be making this a stop when in the U.P.

You would think by the name that this is a coffee stop. Well, I went in and ordered 2 coffees with shots of espesso. I was given my cups with lids (cheap Dixie brand) and was told to fix my coffee at the register on a little spot of about 2 x 5 inches...next to a guestbook with previous coffee... More

We went to Java Joe's three times and loved all our meals. We had chocolate chip pancakes which were the best we've ever had - light and fluffy, with tons of delicious, quality chocolate chips. The whitefish eggs benedict were fantastic, with a lot of flavor - although it is true that the yolks are cooked firm, so be aware.... More

2nd time we have eaten here, food is good but a bit pricey.atmosphere is loud and friendly, my daughter loved the creps, omelets were good as well. Coffee cup was kept full without having to hunt anyone down. I love the decor, was surprised we did not have to wait too long for a seat this time, last time we... More

This place is garbage. Plain and simple. Food was dried out and crusty. My girlfriend and I also enjoyed the plentiful bout with diarrhea afterward. Nothing like leaving a restaurant hungry!

Food was awesome! If you're in a super hurry, not necessarily the best place to eat, only because it's a small restaurant. That is also what is great about this place is it's charm. HUGE variety of menu items - was hard to pick. My crepes were wonderful and my husband's eggs were good. We highly recommend this place (and... More
