Stopped in after a hockey game. Good was ok. Not great but not bad. Prices were fair service OK. When you are in the UP in winter, your choices are limited but this is a safe bet.
I wouldn't rate them any higher than average, nor would I rate them any lower than average. My husband's steak was mediocre, needless to say, and well, it was over cooked as well. He ordered medium rare and it was well done when he cut into it. With no one's fault but of his own, he chose not to mention... More
My partner and I visited St. Ignace after the end of tourist season, and when most restaurants in town were closed for the year. The Mackinac Grille was one of the few places serving dinner - but they were *fantastic* dinners. We ate here for dinner both nights of our stay, and we were impressed both times. The fresh seafood... More
We really enjoyed our dinner here with 3 other couples. They give you a lot of food and it is upscale. The prices are moderate. The service was outstanding. We have been by the restaurant a zillion times, but never had eaten there. What a treat. We will return.
We visited for the friday fish fry and were happy. The menu was fairly large so we thought maybe the food wouldn't be very good but we were pleasantly surprised. The Mackinac grille is worth a shot and it is one of the relatively few restaurants in St. Ignace that is open a bit later.
I ate at this restaurant with members of my tour group. The service was great. The food was good. The menu had a variety of items. The best feature of this restaurant for me was its ambiance.
The food leaves a lot to be desired, but our waiter, Bobby, made the evening. Without ever being intrusive, he kept up a line of friendly, engaging conversation. He gave us some insight of the area. He could not have been more attentive. The food, however, was disappointing. My wife and I shared the pork chops on a plank. They... More
If you're looking for the best spot to view the water and harbor while dining, this is it. Very quaint. Definitely a good stop for a few drinks at the bar (inside or out) with friends and/or family. If management could get their service and quality of food in order, this restaurant would potentially have it all in the St.... More
What a beautiful view. We sat by the window and looked out on the light house and the park and the view was just beautiful. Our food was ok. When we go out to eat we like to be wowed by our experience. That did not happen here with the food. The burrito was excessively salty. The burger was greasy... More
We stop in for a beverage, lucky for us it was happy hour. They sat out peanuts, pretzels, meat balls, potato skins, chips & salsa. Prices were right, locals were friendly and atmosphere was good. Located in town near boardwalk & bay.
