We vacation in St. Ignace every year and we always eat here once or twice because we love to sit out on the patio. The service is usually good; the food is dependable. Nothing to get too excited about - just decent food.

Have been there before because friends seem to like it. Food has always been average but this last time was terrible. French onion soup was too salty to eat and pulled pork was all fat. At least they took it off the bill when we commented. Pleasant staff.

My friend and I both had the Planked Whitefish dinner tonight. This was the best planked whitefish I have had since my favorite restaurant in Harbor Springs closed about 7 years ago. You are served more food than you can eat and I certainly will tell everyone to come here for a great meal, absolutely everything served was delicious! Guarantee... More

We made a great stop at the Grille. The service was very good and we enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place. The attached train car added. The food came quickly and was just what we ordered. It was not very crowded since it was the off season.

We flew into the St Ignace airport and borrowed a car to go into town for lunch. I was surprised at the quality of food at the Mackinac Grille. I ordered a Whitefish Patty Melt because i like fish. I was a little hesitant but was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was very good. It came with wedge cut fries which... More

We recently stayed in St.Ignace for a hockey tournament and decided to eat a team diner at the Mackinac grill. I've been to restaurants before where my meal was a little sub par and for the most part I'm pretty forgiving. Not everything on the menu will always be a house specialty or maybe the meal was not one of... More

We came on a weekday in the summer. The place wasn't that busy and were seatd outside. The view was great but that was about it. Our waiter kept forgetting about our drinks until one of our party members went to the bar and got them for ourselves. Our group was only 7 but our order came out in two... More

Went there for the Meet and Greet during the Pond Hockey Tourny. They were defiintely ready for a large crowd. The Grille was standing room only. Staff and Management were prepared! We had a table of 12, all the food came out at once, was hot and tasty! Our Server explained that she usually only works the summer months, but... More

Really nice restaurant/bar looking directly on the water and Mackinaw bridge. Just beautiful. The staff is super friendly, the price is right, and the food is outstanding. And their Sunday brunch was out of this world. It was only 7 or 8 bucks, worth every penny and then some.

We went to the Mackinac Grill for a late lunch. We were the only customers for a few minutes, then a few other people arrived. I had the jerk turkey burger with coleslaw, the sauce was good the burger was a processed frozen one to my mind, the coleslaw was tasty. Husband had the Cobb Salad and it was fine.... More
