This is a small family-run Lebanese eatery. A nice low-key place that is clean, with an inviting atmosphere with maybe a dozen tables and booths total. It is rarely that crowded, but busy enough to keep good business. The freshest tabbouleh. Really good, creamy hommous. Fresh lawash. Excellent Falafel. Perfect! By the way, Sahara serves up very large portions. I... More

My self, wife and vegan only college age daughter had a great dinner. I was surprised at the generous portions. We had fresh juice drinks....very good. We had the vegetation sample platter for 2. We split it 3 ways and still took some home.

Sahara served the best Lebanese food when Steve and Aggie did the cooking in Detroit and it is still superb on Harper s. of 9 Mile in SCS. One of our all-time favorites. As good as Ike's in Sterling Heights. Always fresh. Gordie Wilczynski

Tabouli is as good as Mom's. Guests come regularly from all over metro Detroit to eat here. Low key, family restaurant.

If you enjoy good middle eastern food, an a family setting this is the place. Not fancy, but not pricey. Nice variety on the menu -- you will enjoy it. You can try different and new dishes in a very comfortable setting. My wife and I go there often and never failed to enjoy our meal and the company.

The owner and his sister were helping wait on the tables. The food is all made in house (except for the bread) and was excellent! There were 5 of us dining and we each ordered a couple of dishes and then shared. The servings are generous and delicious! The owner makes fresh vegetable juices to order as well as fruit... More

The garlic dip served with the Sahara and Shwarma salad is excellent. The pita bread is fresh. The chicken shwarma is beyond good. Friendly waiter, cute too!

My family and I have been going to the Sahara for 35 years. They used to be off outer drive on the east side. Steve and his family ran it back then. The new owners have been there for 10 years and they carry one the tradition... No one makes ram kibbee like they do. I wont eat it any... More
