Gluten free fries

This place had character, both in the building and in the wait staff. This was another fun place in Royal Oak. I ordered a steak salad and fries (because they were cooked separately from all other fried foods, they were gluten free). The fries were delicious, my salad not so. The dressing was bland... read more

I really like this place among the brewpubs in the area for a winning combination of good food and good beer. I especially like their IPA - it's my go to favorite when I go there.

I have been hearing good things about Bastone and wanted to try it, so finally I had dinner there last night. Even though there were lots of other wonderful-sounding dishes, I had a craving for Salad Nicoise, so I ordered it. I was disappointed, It was mostly lettuce and not a lot of green beans, potatoes and other things that... More

Met two friends at Bastone in Royal Oak for lunch. Ordered the grilled chicken salad which was delicious. Good mixture of greens, fruit and a yogurt based dressing. One change needed is that the grilled chicken needs to be more moist and either shredded or in thinner strips making it easier to mix in with the rest of the salad.... More

This is a very popular restaurant. It deserves the popularity because the food is always very good. The service was a little slow when we visited at lunch time on Saturday.

Hadn't been here for awhile. We liked it better, perhaps since some of the menu items have changed. The hazelnut encrusted scallops were excellent. My spouse enjoyed a flat bread pizza. Good choices in beers, and a variety of flights are offered as well.

You Michiganders are quite lucky. With over 170 in-state breweries, the abundance of places to score some great craft beer is mind boggling. Every time we come to Michigan to visit my daughter, we try to avail ourselves of at least a few new ones and perhaps a repeat of some of our favorites. Just to keep things in perspective... More

So I reserved a table here for my sister's birthday dinner on a Friday evening for 16 people. I spoke to the brewery twice during the week leading up to the reservation (which I had made a month prior) and they assured me that everything was all set. Sure enough - our reservation was at 8 - all our guests... More

We did investigate the issue and it unfortunately is something that happens once and a while in the business. It all started with a group that proceeded your party and they didn't leave at the time expected. That always starts to throw things off. Sometimes things just don't go as we planned, and we understand that people are out to... More

I went to lunch here on a freezing February day with one of my best friends and my daughter. Parking is a little rough. We had to walk three blocks from a public lot. Once inside we were seated promptly, the waitress brought drinks right away and our soups came quickly. It was chilly in the restaurant, but I think... More
