A very busy restaurant in a great location and cool setting. Food is innovative but not memorable and specials were disappointing. What is missing in food verity and execution fantastic attentive service makes up for.

Bastone is an epic restaurant. The food quality is incredible, and if that isn't good enough their brews are awesome too. I love the Palm Frieze (French Fries).

Happy hour is not advertised; however, your server will tell you the specifics (1/2 of pizza, fries & mussels). Unlike other area brewery restaurants, Bastone's beers are weighted toward the wheat style of beer. They also have two seasonals on tap which helps with expanding the brew options. Bastone's has a varied menu which will appeal to many visitors. They... More

Very good good; especially the frites with mayonaise. Lots of lunch specials that are worth trying. Belgian beer is very good also.

Love the Belgium beer here-especially the Dubbel and the Trippel. If you go on Monday through Thursday, they offer a happy hour that give you half off all their pizzas, mussels, and fries. This is a great deal, but they do not seem to advertise it?? The mushroom pizza is delicious. They have several different ways they serve their mussels... More

Upon walking around downtown Royal Oak my boyfriend and I decided to try out this place, from the outside it looked like it could be a good atmosphere. I had ordered a chicken Caesar salad. Upon receiving it I was kind of shocked at the odd presentation. They had cut a chicken breast in half and just kind of thrown... More

My family and I were there for a birthday celebration. My first time there. The food looked much better than it tasted. The pomfrittes (French fries) were soggy. Not just on 1 plate but on all the dinners. My fish and chips were limp also. No crunchy crispy breading. This is a brewery. My wit face which is a version... More

Bar bouncers are overly aggressive and have their favorites. Not a place for the over 20ish crowd. Food was just ok for the money.

Like many new restaurants in the Royal Oak/Ferndale/Berkley area, Bastone has a very unique atmosphere which instantly draws you to the restaurant. The in-house brews were excellent. I had the IPA and the Dubbel Vision amber ale and both were exceptional. The menu is a good size and has a variety of foods from burgers and sandwiches to Belgian dishes... More
