fast service, good waitress, great ambiance. Parking is tight, but location easy to get to. The best coneys I ever had. Been going there for years.

Kids food was a little high priced for a coney. Had the Greek salad with chicken. The chicken was dry and pieces of fat. Dressing was mostly oil. With all the breakfast and coney options around here, we won't be back.

If you are visiting Detroit you need to know about Coney Island style hot dogs. (Locals already do.) Downtown you go to Lafayette or the American. Out here in the 'burbs the Coney places are generally reliable, good diners, as Athens is. But modernized into a sleek looking retro streetcar diner and perched on legendary Woodward Ave. almost at ground... More

Of course we had to have a coney! Hard to find a good coney dog. Athen's was good but they are doing the same thing other restaurants are doing, skinnier and smaller dogs for the same price or more. Coney craving does not happen often but should maybe try another coney stand like Joe's in Birmingham, MI

We were looking for something local, inexpensive, and fun! We found it at Athens Coney Island! Great 50's dinner atmosphere, hot dogs were excellent and service was friendly and fast! The husband had the Coney dog and i had the Athens dog and we were not dissappointed, both were tasty. We would definetly eat here again!

Great hot dogs with or without the works which I believe the locals call Coney's a busy spot with good food and fast service

Good for breakfast. Good omlettes. Good hash browns (not greasy). Good french toast. Good service. If anything is wrong, speak up and they will fix it quickly. Usually busy.

In the Detroit area, Chili Dogs are better known as Coney Island Hot Dogs. Essentially, they're hot dogs, onions, chili (without beans), and mustard. But are they ever good! Athens also offers very good Gyros, fries and desserts. Try their Sanders hot fudge special sundae.

Although I sometimes wish for the old building of the 60's and 70's because of its general feeling of a good cheap eatery, the food here is still great. One up, hold the mustard, fries, and coke, Thanks.
