We recently went out to lunch and chose Tom's. It was a beautiful summer day so we sat outside and enjoyed the weather while watching people walk by. The food was great!

We love this place...just moved to the area and now go here all the time. Great oysters, fish tacos, fish n chips, and more. Good casual place to get a drink and some good food. I've liked all the seafood I've gotten there and the service is always great.

Friday night April 20th 7pm had to wait over an hour for a table. (we went down the street and had a drink) Once seated the service was quick and attentive. Food was good. I had the pasta seafood which was very tasty with plenty of seafood. Another had the crabcakes which were a bit dry and lacking on the... More

Went with high expectations. Not impressed with food. The server and hostess were great though. Hubby had the small perch order. Seriously three pieces of finger sized fish. Not warm and not good. Some weird watery boiled potatoes along with some ok carrots and turnips. I had some white fish house specialty crusted in parm. Yuck. This was the house... More

We went their to use our Groupon and were not disappointed. Heather, our server was cheerful and prompt. She deserves a raise. My wife ordered the fish tacos and I had the jambalaya. We were very satisfied with our meals. In fact, this was the first jambalaya I've had that did not need additional spicing. And I have had jambalaya... More

My husband and I went Sunday October 6, 2013 at appx. 6PM. It was empty and we sat in the dining room. There was one other table of customers. Their waiter went to there table four times and we still did not even has water or a server. So of course I got up to let the hostess know. Our... More

The lobster bisque was unusual and superb. The white fish had a nut crust and prepared just right. Everyone was happy with the meal. The one real negative was they were sweeping the mats while customers were at the tables. That should have been done at the end of the previous day, after closing, or long before opening to let... Had dinner on a Friday evening. Arriving at 6:30 PM we missed the Friday night crowd which show up around 8 PM. The oysters were excellent, really liked the variety. Meals of whitefish and perch were good. Server was attentive. The public Parking lot is just a block off Main St & 3rd making it convenient and worth the $5... More

Being a raw oyster lover, I really looked forward to dining at Toms after it was recommended in the Detroit Magazine. Imagine, in the heart of Royal Oak MI, in the Midwest - not on the east coast. Well, after ordering the oyster sampler plate, delivered to the table, I was disappointed on sight alone. But, I thought, maybe they... More

When the word oyster is in your name, they better be good. We ordered a dozen and they were the worst we ever had. Flat, no substance, not meaty. We could have done better at a Red Lobster. The Po Boy sandwich was all breading, no meat in the oysters. It was my husband's birthday. Very disappointing.
